Great photos, and I love how you process them! So many KZbin "pros" seem to over-expose nearly all of their photos, so it must be a matter of taste, but I just don't care for that look. On a horse?? Wow!

An admittedly weird question to post on a video about film stocks / featuring gorgeous imagery, but would you mind recommending a synth to someone just dipping their toe into synth-world, Dylan? Specifically someone with ambient aspirations? TIA for anything you care to share!
@DylanSpitz22 күн бұрын
Ohhhh I love to hear this question, actually! haha. Give me a little more info - like do you come from a keyboardist or polyphonic playing background, or are you looking to eventually get into modular, or more just want to have a standalone one-product solution for drones/textures, etc? I'm happy to nerd out and give you some recs!
@etmrdaj7821 күн бұрын
@@DylanSpitz I actually come from a guitar background. Am looking for something that would give me a diversity of options for ambient-y-sounding purposes - pads, textures, things that might sound nifty when run through granular loopers and/or reverbs, octave generators, etc.
@DylanSpitz21 күн бұрын
Oh ok, nice! I’d say for that case and just being able to learn the foundational concepts - the Moog semi Modulars like the Mother 32 and the new Labrynth could be great. For pure generative ambient, the Labrynth looks amazing. If you want something polyphonic and immediately playable (and analog) things get pricey quick, but you could look into the Behringer Poly D or the Sequential Take 5.

Actually, what I want to ask is, which camera was used to shoot the video, not the photo, because the photos look incredibly bright and I don't like such bright photos, but the parts you show with the video are incredibly beautiful. Which camera did you shoot the video with and are you using the camera's own presets or did you edit the colors with a program?

I felt the exact opposite. Loved the photos. Hated the videos!

Wow that is so incredibly thoughtful and kind of you to say! I can’t say thank you enough for the encouragement, it is definitely a labor of love and doesn’t really work with this platform well from a reach/growth standpoint, but to me it’s more important than cranking out meaningless videos every week or two. Personally I rally loved your video image and coloring, was supprised you felt kind of disappointed with quality as you mentioned. I would though ask you regarding rolling shutter which I think is quite notisable even though you shoot prete stable handheld shots...started following you though great presentation and I think many will order this beast after this awesome review 👍

Hey, thanks so much! Happy to hear you enjoyed the video. I didn't do any rolling shutter specific tests, but yes, it was noticeable compared to cameras with smaller sensors/faster processors. It's a lovely camera! I miss it dearly haha.
