Yeah you’re colour grading is awesome but your audio cues are great as well, that little ticking noise during the intro gave a really cool sense of passing time. I’m a fan of the little things, keep it up!!

Thank you for sharing this content with us. To someone on a completely different side of the world, who is engaged in photography as a hobby, it means when he sees another side of the world or hears some good advice - like the color wheel trick. Also, the room you are shooting from is awesome, the light is beautiful.

Mind sharing any of the film simulation settings you use as a profile to get an idea of a future edit in post, kind of like the stormy photos near the end of the video? Are you mostly leaning on Classic Chrome or Provia? If so, any baseline set of settings you might be able to share?
@DylanSpitz Жыл бұрын
My everyday setting is usually classic chrome, gives a nice neutral palette. That particular scene you're asking about - I remember I wanted everything exaggerated while shooting so I used velvia and cranked the white balance down to get in that headspace.

Man, seeing this vid I'd expect that you have made 100 videos before it on this channel. But this is just the 14th one you've posted. Really impressive stuff for such a small backlog of videos, have you been doing this long?
@DylanSpitz Жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks so much! I've been shooting video/photo professionally since 2014, but new to the KZbin space - trying to make it more of a focus moving forward, we'll see what happens!
@Brock_Rogers Жыл бұрын
What kind of film simulations are you using? Interesting approach vs shooting raw without a somewhat preview for the direction of the edit! Thanks in advance!
@DylanSpitz Жыл бұрын
I don’t really do much in camera, usually just hopping between like classic chrome or black and white. Sometimes velvia to really push saturation. But all of those are simply for visualizing, not for actually starting an edit from raw or anything.
@zeelandfilms8314 Жыл бұрын
Can/will you tell me which recipe you use for those photos ? I have bought the Fujifilm XT5 and I love it and I am totally in love with finding goog recipes 😅😊

Oh man! What a great video Dylan! Absolutely love your color grading / photo editing btw! You've really nailed the look, but it only makes sense, knowing you come from a videography background. May I ask you how long you roughly spend on average on a single photo edit?
@DylanSpitz Жыл бұрын
Thanks a ton! Really happy to hear that. That's also a great question - I would say on average between 10-15 minutes per image. Sometimes longer, but that usually indicates that I'm trying to rescue a photo that wasn't great to begin with.
@p_syv8053 Жыл бұрын
@@DylanSpitz Wow, that is longer that I expected. But this makes them even more unique, knowing this much work is being put in in post.
