Why are you wearing so many clothes…..what month was this ? we’ve no idea what to bring shorts t shirts but seems we may need some extreme down jackets and thermals 😂 thanks guys 🤗
@mattandche3 ай бұрын
Thanks guys 🥰 Such a shame but on the list for lap #2 😂 The camp was Newcastle Waters Rest Area, we drove not far south at all and there’s another called ‘Newcastle Waters South’ - lots of open space! Omg hahah it was soooo cold!! This was mid-end July so definitely bring for all occasions, Uluṟu particularly was so cold - they had just had some non typical rain there though so could be to do with that but 100% being some thermals and down jackets for the mornings / evenings. The days were all magic though, nice and sunny and early 20’s. Then up around Katherine / the way down was all lovely and warm haha so you’ll definitely need a mix 😅

Thanks guys! They have them on a Thursday and Sunday night 🤩 Unfortunately someone was! ☹️ Got bitten on the arm and back I believe but recovered well from what we heard! Scary stuff and poor guy but thankfully he was okay in the end! The croc would’ve been in there from the wet season so a number of weeks until anything happened 🥵 There’s some magic spots in the NT, we were totally pleasantly surprised by how awesome it was. Ohhhh we were unfortunately team Kakadont 🥲 BUT we went in school holidays haha! So I think that largely influenced our experience, still a magical part of the country 💛
@Neil-clare3 ай бұрын
@@mattandche thanks for the info about the market….our last day before our flight home is in Darwin 🤗 that’s a shame at least the guy is going to be ok in time 🙌🏻 scary stuff watching people’s videos and they say can’t swim in there as there’s crocs and in some free camping spots crocs also…we have to be super aware and take notice of all signs! Lucky we’re not going in school holidays as we’re concerned of being turned away from a campsite…..no idea what we would do if we did so we’ve taken some time to try and plan as best we can.so your kakadont! all the programs we see here in the uk are mostly filmed in kakadu np ie crocodile Dundee and the wildlife documentary’s it looks mind blowing…..but we’re not going to kakadu np unfortunately…..we may have to factor in Lichfield np though it looks amazing to and hope everything is open 🤞🏻 We’re still planning and re-planning…I have to stop watching videos 😂 I watch one and another spot is added at this rate we’re in australia for about 5 years 😂 we only have 3 half weeks! To much to see and not enough time 😭 thanks guys safe travels and see you guys on the next one 🙌🏻 Ps that robin falls was pretty spectacular trying to fit it in…but is there any yowies there ?😳😂
@mattandche3 ай бұрын
I know it’s crazy haha definitely alI unpatrolled waterways be croc aware 👍 Have you downloaded wikicamps? It’s a saving grace for finding camps! We had a few occasions where certain spots were too busy but there’s usually something close by, might not be glamorous but should always be able to find somewhere to sleep 😂🙌 Kakadu is definitely beautiful and we wish we did a yellow water billabong cruise but we’re circle back in the future 🤣 so much beauty in the NT though you’ll have a great time even with not heading there. And totally feel you on that 🤣 you can see why people keep continuously lapping Australia! One is not enough to see it all haha! Litchfield would be awesome if you have time and for robin falls like most places you should be fine in dry season but I’d say there’s always a chance they’d get in there during wet season!! Check the NT website for ‘safe’ swimming spots too nt.gov.au/emergency/community-safety/crocodile-safety-be-crocwise/where-you-can-swim ☺️☺️
