Got a box of old stuff from my grandma and old zippo was in it so I rewicked and cottoned it I’m pretty sure the case is from 1972 but I’m having trouble figuring out the insert date because of so many scratches on it can anybody help?

The "PIEZO" on the bottom of that lighter ? Is a PIEZO electric igniter, you know, that little plastic thingy that makes the spark that you used to shock your classmates with .... THAT'S what it's called, a PIEZO electric igniter...

The battery tie down on my 1963 Corvette Roadster used wingnuts as stock equipment. I never had a problem with them loosening. Super convenient when changing out the battery. Your boots analogy was spot on. Already many negative comments about what you "should" have done, or how much you spent. You do whatever works for you, Jeff. Those negative commenters probably have 10-12 pairs of $1200 boots in their closets, and would be furious if someone questioned why they spent so much on boots.

Or just go to Lowe’s and buy stainless nuts for the silver tie down… $20 for the red one, or $2 for new nuts. Not to mention the new one is gonna rust before the end of summer…

I think it is worth supporting the industries when you have the choice. Yeah we can't do that for all products unfortunately (be it availability or cost) but that doesn't mean we should just abandon the concept all together.

Also man you're conflating private companies with the government. The government doing things you don't like (such as the stimulus check) is far disconnected from companies like STI producing handguns in Texas. Why the hell should our companies be concerned about supporting "the American taxpayer" when they themselves are American taxpayers? They deserve the fruits of their labor, it's the government that's mishandling both your and their tax money. Blame Biden not Ford. Also guess what? you too can work for them and reap the rewards if you become qualified enough! Edit: btw before you call me a shill I've never even owned an American car. There are plenty of reasons to buy foreign, but the ones you mentioned make no sense.

Some terminal donuts might reduce the nuts from rusting. Also, Boeshield T9 spray turns into a wax. Great for rusty nuts and bolts.

I’m enjoying mine so far. It’s a $20 edc dump “box”. I bought a $7 roll of black drawer liners in the kitchen section of Wally World and cut them to fit flush with the drawers. Keeps stuff from sliding around and cheaper than the “tool box” liners at hardware stores.

On the top inside of the molded sheath there are 2 small raised ridges that fit into 2 diamond shaped indents on the molded handle, that clicks it in sheath.

DO NOT SNAP THIS STYLE OF KNIFE CLOSED! It has no blade stop. Letting it snap shut WILL damage the tip of the blade. The appropriate way to close it is to pinch the nail nick and control the blade to a soft close.

I ordered 2 online frome Lowes and the quality is way different. Mine are smooth and the bottom drawer is on ball bearings. It also comes in a different cardboard box.
