For the past 15 years or so, we take hand disinfectant spray on every cruise. Hand rails, elevator buttons, and many other locations can possibly be contamination locations (no, we're not germaphobes, but have become ill previously on a cruise) Even with hand washing/sanitizing stations at the buffet, folks simply walk past them. Be safe and healthy

Thorough evaluation. Thanks so much. Have you seen people with food allergies or intolerances? Were they addressed? If so, how? I’m intolerant to garlic in all shape and form and it’s usually part of every dish. Eating while travelling has become a nightmare for me.

we always bring a nite light that is battery or usb charged. set in BR at nite and charge in AM. we also bring 2 short shoe bags and use 2 hooks to hang in BR for stuff and hang one in the closet for shoes and stuff , they lay flat , take up no room in bags.

Thanks so much for the information on the size of the veranda. Since I rise early and my wife sleeps late, and our bed id adjacent to the veranda - as opposed to hallway - we want to bring some paper and tape to darken at least one of the folding screens so she can sleep while I coffee out on the veranda. 7.5 feet was the key number!

Do you prefer the textured or voyager? I’m trying to decide between the 2. Is the voyager worth the extra money?

For me personally, I prefer the Voyaguer because of the completely flat, unobstructed packing surface. Rickee prefers the Textured because she can sling her carry on over the narrow handle. They are both comparable quality and materials. We will be taking both with us on another international trip in August and I will do an update.

Great review! Thank you. We have a 10-year-old that will be cruising with me, my husband, and 22-year-old son. He hasn’t really used water slides or typical kid activities on other cruise lines. He does love to swim. My husband, older son, and I are really looking forward to cruising on the Beyond. In your opinions, will my 10-year-old son be okay? He does tend to act older than he is due to hanging around an older brother.

What are the major differences between silversea and Viking? All inclusive?

Silversea is more inclusive, with all drinks included and in most cases, there are included excursions. They also include gratuities in the Silversea fare. Ships are smaller, fewer guests and higher crew-to-guest ratio. Butler service in every suite category. However, Silversea does allow children (although you typically see few if any) where Viking does not allow guests under 18 (I think it is 18).

Just finished a two week Oceania Mediterranean Barcelona to Rome had a great time Have you heard about Havila cruise line? It’s a smaller Norwegian line thinking of making plans for a winter trip on a Northern Lights cruise but can’t find out much on this company?

We're booked on the Sun Princess in March, 2025. This past spring we spent a month on the Majestic Princess and only did Alfredos and the sushii restaurant as specialty dining. We never ate in the MDR's except for one lunch. We enjoy eating in the LIDO, but their staff struggled in the service aspect.

Thank you for your review. I had previously bought the Luminous Textured 2 piece set in navy, 20" and 24". Today, because I couldn't resist their 20% birthday sale and have wondered about it, I pulled the plug and bought their 28" Voyageur in navy. Looking at the 26" you showed, I wonder if I will ever need that much space 😂.

@@simplywanda1065 I just wanted to inform you that that actually is a 28 inch that he is showing on his video. I only know this because I have been researching these luggage for a long time and been trying and I have been trying to decide between the 26 and the 28 inch so that is the 28 inch the 26 inch does not have the handle on the front.

We are booked on the Beyond on August 8th. It will be our 5th Celebrity ship and our first time on Edge series. We were actually on the first Summit sailing out of St. Maarten in 2021 as she was refurbed but then cruising shut down. There were only 430 passengers on board. It was like a dream and we were hooked on Celebrity ever since (not to mention, those "free" Blue Chip Club offers are hard to beat. 😂). Your review was fantastic - going to watch your food review post now. Thank you!!

That's what I call a thorough review. thanks for sharing! Question: How did you like the wide handle on the 26"? Is it easier to maneuver the luggage? When pulling, sideways pushing, etc.? Or actually a disadvantage? P.S. There is apparently a 30" available now! Still within the 158cm :)

If your wife switches to a backpack, she might be able to turn the backpack sideways and use the straps as her trolley sleeve for the wider handle.

That is exactly what I do because I do use a backpack. So the Voyageur carry-on works fine for me. I have been unable to get her to switch to a backpack.

We just got off of the Carnival Vista and it was the best buffet food and outstanding Steaks at the Horizons restaurant. It was a great cruise and I was not a Carnival fan prior to this . I’ve been on Disney, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Celebrity (worst food)

Used to live in Juneau. Best time to whale watch is probably early in the season or later. Later in the season the humpbacks are migrating down to Hawaii.

Thank you for such a thorough review. I think the older versions of the Voyageur have the shelf/divider in the main side but no compression straps. The newer versions removed the divider, added the compression straps, moved the wet pouch, and slightly different interior material. They are selling both versions now which are delivered at random depending on their inventory. I agree with you that the compression straps would be much more useful if they were attached lower in the case. I enjoyed watching your review.

That looks like the 28" Voyageur. I don't think Level 8 makes a 26" with a handle on the front like that.

So far, so good. We were concerned at first that compared some other products we have used in the past the Level8 shell felt sort of flimsy, but that may be one of its advantages. We have 2 more international trips scheduled and will be using the Level8 on those upcoming flights/cruises.

Scheduled on the Mardi Gras Oct 2025 on a Journey cruise. We have a standard balcony on the 14th floor also, cannot wait to get on this vacation. Usually go every other year on a cruise, but Covid cancelled us twice, so, we are ready and excited!!! Thank you for the video!

We have enjoyed the Sanctuary on several Princess Ships. We have found it comfortable and one of the quieter places on the ship with excellent service. We usually booked a half day in the morning or afternoon and it’s rarely ever seems fully booked. It must be one of the best kept secrets on Princess ships
