Great tips, cheers! U know if its possible to play record slides on the baseline, without having to edit?

Great set! Will you do some tutorials on the j6 and s1? Did you have those patterns pre-set? How do you prep? What gets done on the spot?
@ShurikatMusicАй бұрын
Thank you ! I try to improvised as much as possible but for this one especially, all the end part is mostly pre-sets. Regarding tutorials for J6 & S1, I don't master them enough at the moment ;-)

Will this work on all instrument parts? Not sure why these companies don't believe in a dedicated shift pattern function. It's a necessary sound design tool if you ask me.
@ShurikatMusicАй бұрын
Actually it works for all instruments. I’ve checked !

Program the autofills and beat/note repeats and decay settings on the sounds and envelope release on the waveshaper. Switch the maracas and claps on the fly same with rims and the claves. Really brings any 808 to life. Worth investing a bit of time in. Thats where the real funk of the 808 comes out. Also, two 303s bouncing off each other with different pattern lengths (odd numbers are good) really improves the funk factor as you only really get the same exact pattern once every couple of minutes. Just my two cents. Peace!

Hi Shurikat, I have been looking for a 303 function in this T8 machine which lets you jump octaves of the whole sequence. Do you know what I mean and have you found that function in the T8?Would make those basslines a bit more varying!
@ShurikatMusic2 ай бұрын
You can use the pitch knob to go up or down a full octave for variations.

After much thought, I ended up getting the T8 instead of the Volca drum. My only disappointment with it being that it doesn't let you chain patterns together into a song but that is easily overcome by using its USB connectivity in a DAW. Still it is a great little beatbox and I'm glad I got it. I will be hooking it up with my S1 and my Volca FM2 - and possibly also my IK Multimedia Uno - for some DAWless jamming. Now I'm thinking about getting the E4 for some serious vocal mashing.

I understand your 1/4 beat markings 😅 I have no idea how they came up wirh this utterly stupid design!! Or am i stupid and its super clever somehow!? Lol.
