With the fill in function, you can dedicated one pattern per bank that can act as a fill in. when you activate the fill in, it will play once at the end of the current pattern then go back to the current pattern. As explained in the video, you can expend the concept by not using the fill in function but switch from pattern. This way the fill in can play for several bars. You can also dedicated several patterns per bank as fill in's and have more possibilities.
