I grew up on bluegrass on a tribal reservation. Reminds me of home on Sunday mornings listening to the tribal radio while cooking my papa breakfast. ❤️

You want to know something crazy? Ive had a number of meaningful dreams in my life and I remember them. Many years ago I had a dream I was sitting in the back pew in the far left corner of the Church I am a member of. I heard someone walk in and I looked over my right shoulder to see who it was and I saw a blonde woman dressed as a whore walk in as she was passing by my right shoulder behind me. By the time she went past I felt her lips on my left ear lobe then as I turned to look she kissed my neck and whispered in my ear. "Now your mine forever." And I turned to look and she was gone.

I always thought if Mrs. Johnson was gossiping about me, I would leave my car parked outside her house all night to give her neighbors something to talk about.

Back in 72, when I was in my 20's I drove a delivery truck around SF. I always had the local country station on the radio. This is an example of what I knew as country music. What they call country now, doesn't sound like country to me.
My wife and I laugh hysterically to this song... Then once a month go to church

Me & a Friend of mine meet him after a show at the High School in our hometown of Eden in his later years. Johnny Russell was there also. We waited outside of steps to give him song we had written. He took it & have some advice & went to his bus. He looked like he was in hurry , but took time to talk. Good Gentleman

I can't be _sure,_ but I'd bet more than a nickel that the narrator _didn't_ have a good talk with the Lord later that night. Great song, though...
