I thought it was earlier than what I had dated it, but the quality of "Imogene" is so top notch that it was hard to tell. Thanks for the session information. Jack Starnes and Pappy Daily used fellow Starday artist Blackie Crawford's Western Cherokees for George's first four sessions, including the cuts with Sonny Burns.

TheRecordNut Now that you mention it, the production values do seem better the most early Jones stuff. It may be because he cut only two that day, this one and Let Him Know. It was a split session with Peck Touchton.

i know this track from an old compilation tape, i think on charly records. love it
