Hello Doc! Do you also have classmates na 30y/o na po pumasok sa UPCM? 😅

Hi Jackie! I have classmates almost turning 30 when they started. Some started med school after working for mga 5 years before deciding to pursue med. When I was a clerk, I met an intern in PGH from a different med school, he was 51 years old. He started med school in his 30s/40s, but had to take care of his parents for a few years. He was only able to do his internship later on. Sabi niya it was hard to adjust with technology, pero in the end he still finished since he knew he was called to be a doctor. 🙂

@@LloydRizada Hello Doc, I just saw this but really appreciated the reply! Maraming salamat po. Gives us motivation to push through with Med kahit medyo late na. I did hear about him though, the intern at 51 y/o, he was mentioned once by a Surgery Fellow I met po. I didn't ask the name/school but I've a hunch you were talking about the same person po. Heheh Anyways, maraming salamat Doc! Padayon po 🌻

Hi Nikko, mga na meet ko lang so far ay BS Physics and BS Applied Physics from UP Diliman at UP Manila. Kung Medical Physics na course, siguro mas may background na sila na focused sa med talaga compared sa purely Physics.

ok namatay kpatid ko jan sa pgh dahil sa isang resident or baguhang doktor. literal cardiac arrest sa injection binigay doctor. yung mga nurses jan walking zombies. expression less mukha nonchalant halsta mo di sila msaya gnagawa nila. cguro dami pasyente xobra pagod. wala sila emosyon keyso may mmtay man. compassion fatigue.

Hello po kuya Im an aspiring UPCM student huhuh do you have any reviewers po for NMAT ?
@LloydRizada
@LloydRizada 11 ай бұрын
Hi Peter John! Nakihiram lang din ako ng NMAT reviewers from classmates hehehe.. I think maraming orgs ang nag ooffer ng reviews. Pero main review material ko was the free official reviewer they email to you as soon as you registered for the NMAT exam. For me, yun yung pinaka malapit na question styles / difficulty level ng actual exam. God bless!

hi hope u could answer my question. is it okay to take nmat multiple times and just present to upcm the highest pr one? or does the upcm only consider the pr from first take? tyia
@LloydRizada
@LloydRizada 11 ай бұрын
Hello! I'm guessing yes, you can do so. Pero personally, I think the NMAT is more of a "screening" requirement for UPCM: as long as you got at least 90, icoconsider ka na for the next round, the interview.

Better metric for measuring attitude is to look at the interviewee’s extracurricular activities. Kung beaucon yan dapat may advocacy na sila

Hi kuya, I have a question Po. Nag utilize ba kayu Ng mga physical textbooks yung undergraduate mo? Another question, kailangan Po ba na taga UP system Ka at may latin honors para makapasok sa UPCM? God bless your journey po.
@LloydRizada
@LloydRizada 2 жыл бұрын
Hi John Daniel! Nung time ko, merong physical books, pero halos lahat ng classmate PDF na po ang gamit sa laptop or tablet. No, di po need na taga UP and may latin honors :) pero huge advantage siya kasi (1) most na tinatanggap ay from UP (2) grades is a significant factor sa admission process. God bless din! :)

Hi Farh! Thanks for your feedback! In my experience, they didn't ask me to speak in a different local language, English lang and Filipino. Pero this sounds likely, I guess especially if you're applying under the regionalization program. Good luck!
