During my time in the early 90s at DLSU Manila, it offered both BS Pre-med Physics and the hardcore BS Physics; same as BS Pre-med Chem and just purely BS Chem...and we only BS Biology...unlike now DLSU offers different specializations for BS Bio amd there's the BS Humabio which is like the equivalent of UP's INTARMED...

1:20 Problem sets - totooo sobrang hirap, relate dun sa week na magsasagot ng problem set tas ang hirap hirapp, kahit 10 items lng super hirap masagutan. pero at the end super worth it kase yung challenge kakaiba. 3:25 same, sa PUP mostly same rin ng prof sa ib

Wow, it is nice to know na well represented po lahat ng regions from Luzon to Mindanao. I used to think na they cater more students from Luzon and specifically from UP system talaga. Hi @@FlorenzPagulayan! Yes if right from the start, gusto mo nang mag med school, then better to take courses closer to medicine like Biology, Public Health, Molecular Biology... But then kung nasa physics ka na, and naeenjoy mo rin naman siya, tapos later on naconsider mong mag medicine, then I guess it's still worth a try 🙂 challenging lang mag catch up sa mga subjects na di natin kinuha hahaha

Hi Jackie! I have classmates almost turning 30 when they started. Some started med school after working for mga 5 years before deciding to pursue med. When I was a clerk, I met an intern in PGH from a different med school, he was 51 years old. He started med school in his 30s/40s, but had to take care of his parents for a few years. He was only able to do his internship later on. Sabi niya it was hard to adjust with technology, pero in the end he still finished since he knew he was called to be a doctor. 🙂

Hi Nikko, mga na meet ko lang so far ay BS Physics and BS Applied Physics from UP Diliman at UP Manila. Kung Medical Physics na course, siguro mas may background na sila na focused sa med talaga compared sa purely Physics.

Hi John Daniel! Nung time ko, merong physical books, pero halos lahat ng classmate PDF na po ang gamit sa laptop or tablet. No, di po need na taga UP and may latin honors :) pero huge advantage siya kasi (1) most na tinatanggap ay from UP (2) grades is a significant factor sa admission process. God bless din! :)

Hello JR! Nung time ko, mejo madami namang slots sa AppPhy at Physics sa UPD. Di ako masyadong familiar sa UPM eh.. Baka di naman ganun kahirap matanggap sa Physics compared sa ibang courses sa UPD, naaalala ko kasi nung first year ako, may classmates ako na DPWAS (degree program with available slots).. baka iba na situation ngayon. (btw, kung plano mo na talagang mag med from the start, baka gusto mo rin iconsider ibang mas malapit na courses sa med like Bio or Public Health..) God bless JR!

No problem JR. 🙂 Nice na interested ka mag medical physics! Di ako familiar sa ibang universities, pero sa UPM, I heard ang BS Applied Physics nila ay may med physics subjects din. Nakwento sa isang classmate ko sa med ngayon na applied physics sa UPM, dati daw pumunta pa daw sila sa radiology department ng PGH para sa isang class.. Yung thesis din niya mejo related sa medical physics.. Sa UPD naman ang Applied Physics ay more of materials science, photonics, instrumentation, etc..

Hi Regine! No, we are not required to buy hard copy books. eBooks are ok. Our miscellaneous fees are about P6,774.5 (from cm.upm.edu.ph/admissions-primer/ ) hope this helps!

Hi Dagny! It's worth trying. Your NMAT score is above the cutoff of UPCM (90). and having Latin honors are surely an advantage. In the end there's gonna be more factors than just these, but I guess it's worth a shot. God bless!

Hi again Regine! Thank you for this suggestion! Most people stay in condos around the campus (ex. 8 Adriatico, etc) but there are other cheaper options. There are dorms inside the campus (Phi House, and the new UPM Dorm) price is about at lest 5,000 per month. There are other dorms and apartments din on the next blocks around the campus. Cheapest one I know before is 3,000.

Yung mahirap sa pag review ko for NMAT was finding the time, may thesis din kasi ako that time. Pinaka nakatulong sa pagreview ko was yung official NMAT practice test na binibigay nila after mag register.
