Enjoyed it since wanted to see more of RECKLESS. Story a bit weak but there is Francesca other worldly. She is a fine British actress! A joy to watch her. She exudes a level of perfect with such ease, it’s rare. Thank you fir posting these treasures -

Dance, Girl, Dance and The Long, Long Trailer were the only two films that used Lucille Ball’s singing voice.

In the movie, Dean Martin almost replaced John; only Raitt can do “Hey There”.

I saw this movie on TV back in the 1960s, and then it included 3 songs that have been missing ever since; John Raitt sang “ My Town, the Gladys character did “ Her Has”, But no, if this was missing “Steam Heat” I wouldn’t notice or care - from Eddie Foy Jr., I wish they left in “ Think of the Time I Save” I remember a little he walked around like a clock? 😮😮

My reaction, upon seeing this scene in 1983, was "I wanna go to THAT club!" We didn't have them in the city where I lived during that decade; when I got to Atlanta in the early 1990s, though, they had plenty of Goth clubs, and I spent the next 10 years going to every one I could find.

This film was Dance, Girl, Dance and at the end of it, Maureen O'Hara and Lucy get into a brawl - and Lucy's make up: bruises on her face and a black eye. After rehearsal she met Desi Arnaz for the first time and he could not believe that this was the ingenue for the film "Too Many Girls." Later on, she she got cleaned up and changed from the burlesque costume. When Desi saw her he said, "that's a hunk of woman" and indicated to a friend he wanted to meet her. The friend said you met her this afternoon, that's Lucille Ball. Desi ran over, introduced himself and asked her out - and the rest, as they say, is history.

Saw this in Roswell, NM the summer between my Jr and Sr year. Changed my life. Made me a fan of the Scott brothers for life. First Ridley with ‘Alien’, then Tony with this. So much talent in one family.

I loved this series when it was first broadcast on the telly and still love it after all these years. The casting was superb and the story was absorbing. A pity they don’t make series like this anymore.
