@@buygameboy8085 Then I guess u didn't understood the story or the character's motivations at all, not your fault since the story failed to leave that impact on u and that's a totally valid reason but as a web novel reader and also as an anime watcher I really can't ask for anything better and I am really sorry to say this to u but u seem unable to grasp the possibility of how much unhinged and broken people actually are still living in real life so it's just that some are able to hide it better while others can't so for the former it doesn't become obvious so they will appear normal individuals at a glance to any average person as they don't see anything wrong in their life until the cracks starts showing and the old wounds get digged further, while the only other valid things that I can get from your complaints are that u can't stand his character already so it's not like he is going to become a completely different character sort of a 360° turn so no reason for me to talk to u about his development, and it's clear that u don't agree with or understand any of the naive or foolish decisions that he makes to move on that path which gives him the willpower to continue this game but I can safely say that he is the only one who could play this insane game without permanently breaking his mind, anyone in his place would have literally begged for their permanent death by now, no matter where they are in real life since the pain and the trauma never goes away. The fact that subaru can still smile and hope for a better future already makes him a monster as despite how much of an emotional turmoil real life actually is for each of us at least they can end in death as all the pain and regrets, wishes and dreams vanishes and with the effect of time so does your remembrance, of course return by death has his own advantages especially in our world but it's clearly not made for the world of re zero. Anyways thanks for telling me that there is something called real anime and fake anime when the truth remains that they simply all are just fictional stories with some percentage of reliability and emotions being sprinkled like a salt into them in order to make the story interesting and the characters engaging so they won't appear robotic or inhuman and that's the only truth they have in them to offer so u are the one who make such piece of content special, underhyped, overhyped, relevant, lost to relevancy by connecting it to real life no one asks u to do the same and I am sorry to have to break that all for u. This is the reason why literally anyone can be inspired by any character and the list never ends no matter how weird or surprising it may sound since that's the power of the media so your point already becomes universally moot by those real life examples alone so yeah u clearly seem to still be underestimating us humans. Try to read carefully what I said.
