There was a smell that lingered for about a week. If you cover with planks that may stretch the time. It's not bad really.

@@LetsTalkShop that's what he means and I think he's right. Usually the "hump" in the center faces up and the "feet" face down, and usually there is a little "tab" that you would grab onto to remove the clip and the tab faces up. Can't tell from the angle of the video if your retainer has a tab or not, but I don't see one, which makes me think it's facing down. HTH.

I had one of those valves leak one. Without doubt the hardest job to do a RX3! Those pipes dont move

It's very rare to see a video on KZbin for car's gas tank restoration using POR15 product; everyone posts videos with motorcycle small tanks restoration. Small tanks are easy to do, unlike automotive tanks. Do you have any follow-up on how POR15 has proven to be in the years since you did the restoration? I'd be interested in any feedback. Thanks!

curious about blurring out the VIN - is that really a concern? If so, why? Keep going, I have been following for at least 8 years and really want to see this RX-3 on the road again!

Yeah, apparently VIN cloning is a thing. Rather not offer it up in this public space. Thanks for watching. I am way behind on video editing, lol, but probably 60-70% of the way there on the actual work to hit the road.

a suggestion from the guy at fuzzy dice projects is to put the date the video was filmed in the corner of the clip when you’re referencing older footage. That gives the viewer a sense of the timeline that you’re working with for that particular task. Thanks again.

OEM has the reflective strip. Aftermarket don't. I did the same used original lense but the new backing and top bezel and scews.

From memory I think those lighters are supposed to click into place and then once it reaches the correct temperature it should pop out. Been a long time since most have been used for that purpose though. 🙂
