Your videos on your Rx3 restoration have been amazing to help my build. Looking forward to front and rear windscreen installation. Looking forward to seeing how you do it.

My prime motivation to keep these going is to help guys like you out. Thanks for confirming they are a help. Thanks for watching. Yeah, the front and rear glass will be along time away. Lots still going on.

Good to see another update Steve, bit disappointing about the metal dash section, should've been satin black. I had mine powder coated. Instead of a speaker I just made up an aluminium plate done in the same colour and bolted them on.

Yeah, I was disappointed too. By the time I had learned how to powder coat it was buried away in a box and I never took action on that. I no longer have access to powder coat equipment so the window of opportunity for that was narrow.

2012 😮😮😮 That speaker won’t sound the best not having a flush mounting surface. But I’m sure you’re not too worried about that 👍🏼

So a frame would have been better for sound? I see how that might direct the audio straight out. But, yeah, you’re right, not too worried about it. Speaker is there because I can not for actual audio. I’m more interested in hearing brap brap brap LOL.

@@LetsTalkShop yea the mounting surface needs to be flush for speakers to sound good, but who cares. What’s the plans for the motor or is that secret still? What’s the market like over there for stock or original restored rotaries? RX3s in particular. It’s out of control here, 100k AUD plus for a good original or restored car with matching numbers.

@@LetsTalkShop Just add a 1/2" self-adhesive foam sealer strip around the perimeter of the speaker where the gap is. Viola!

Oww I didn't realised the main loom ran over top of the centre instrument cluster support thingy. I have installed mine below it against the fire wall.
