It is ridiculous how good I feel on albendazole, like body it getting the rest it needed for so long. I think it must be because it's a iron chelator and, unlike probably any other chelator, it can cross the bbb. Iron in the brain may be harder to dislodge out of all the organs exactly because other chelators can't get to the brain. Neurocyst would also react to withdrawal of iron esp since alb can enter the parasite cells, but I think the bigger effect is removing excess iron in the brain right now. And iron overload causes hypercalcemia. In the brain this can lead to psychiatric symptoms on its own. EDIT: there is an optimal dose. Too much, and it chelates all the currently mobilized iron, preventing necessary processes. Result is you feel exhausted. Ideal seems to be twice a day to keep even level, and enough to remove a good fraction of the (newly) mobilized iron. Going by how good I feel, holy grail stuff. EDIT: never mind, take as much iron out as you can. It stopped working well not after I increased the dose, but after some idiot supplement company started adding iron to my B12 patches without telling anyone they did, was only in the small print. 3 weeks later I finally notice it. Unfortunately no brand names exist in B12 patches, dropping that stuff. Goes to show you really want to avoid iron intake from any source, whether on iron chelators or not. EDIT: iron chelators kick up antioxidant use. I do take vitamin C regularly, but apparently my batch went bad (clumped up). You do not want to be severely vitamin C deficient (apart from other antioxidants the body will fall back on), believe me (no energy, shortness of breath, injuries don't heal). The more chelation the more C is needed. EDIT: iron chelation is 'unnatural' and makes excessive use on vitamins, which leads to depletion on normal food intake. Unfortunately every vitamin is essential, so take a multi vitamin. I don't know which ones it depleted, but probably B vitamins cause I didn't supplement those. Moral of the story: if you are on any drug, you MUST take a multivitamin (without iron of course. And extra magnesium, to provide coactivation for the extra amount of thiamine, and calcium phosphate, because many drugs are calcium wasting).
