Antibodies : structures, functions and types

This short video briefly illustrates the general structure of the antibody.
There are 5 types of antibodies; IgD, IgE, IgG, IgA and IgM.
there are many functions for antibodies, among them;
1- Agglutination
1- Antibody mediated phagocytes
3- Antibody mediated cellular toxicities

I've looked up many textbooks regarding immunology and antibodies. all of them share one important thing: The antibody composed of two chains (Heavy chain) and (Light chain) Light chain: 1- it is called light because of its molecular weight (25,000 approximately) comparably to heavy chain molecular weight. 2 - it has one variable region and one constant region. 3 - it has two subtypes (kappa) and (lambda) may exist either way but not together. Heavy chain: 1 - it is called heavy because of its molecular weight (50,000 approximately) comparably to light chain molecular weight. 2 - it has one variable region and 3 constant regions. 3 - it has 5 subtypes which determine the type of Immunoglobulins (M for mu in IgM, A for alpha in IgA, G for gamma in IgG, E for epsilon in IgE, D for delta in IgD)
