I never even think about it , my Toyota is locked in the rear and solid axle and locker in the front , 5 speed, dual transfer case and modest 37 in tires . I just sit there and it does it all by itself as long as have it in the right gear .

Good job fellas!! My skids are still holding strong and saved me thousands in damage already, allowing me to run trails I didn’t think were possible. Looking forward to seeing what’s coming off the line next.

The video stopped at the point of programming the module, but they show the lights working. That would’ve been nice to see. Just saying…

Airing down not only smoothes the ride and increases traction but the most important thing to me in the Rockies is it saves the tires from punctures and damage. I did a trail once on full pressure because i didn't wanna air back up when i finished my tires were missing chunks of lugs. Being lazy trying to save time will cost you money in the long run.

I don't get it. There's no harm in going to 15-20 lbs if you're on a mountain road. Then you're there if you need it. To be honest, this is a good tip for tame offroad driving like this. In this environment, there really is no need.

We learned at Offroadeo in Moab that the engineers for Ford when working on the transmission, made it so you can go up to 40ish mph in 4L, so if there’s distance between obstacles you don’t have to stop, put it in neutral, then to 4H and then the whole sequence back to 4L when you get to the next obstacle.

Yea, th B roads in Iowa are so short that you don't air down. I can hit 15 or 20 if I don't air down and instead disconnect sway bars. if I air down I might only be able to hit a few in the same amount of time.

As an experienced off roader, I enjoyed this video. Although, if we're doing a dedicated offroad trail and not just a fire road to the grocery store, why the emphasis to stay aired up? Why not air down and save the vehicle from working through the bumps, jolts and vibrations? I did a hill climb yesterday, very loose, damp,and icy. Absolutely needed to air down lol
@stevesmith3556
@stevesmith3556 27 күн бұрын
@WheelsAndHelmets for sure. Anytime I'm offroad, I go to 20 regardless. If nothing else, for the washboards. I have no idea what this guy is getting at here. I would rather climb any kind of hill at 20 than fully aired up. Just seems like a different kind of clickbait.

Interesting conflicting perspective there… “Don’t use lockers unless you need to, use your driving skills instead of the vehicle technology” Then in the next sentence “Always go ahead and go into 4wd so you can control the climb better, no need to say in 2wd” Kinda odd to say in one breath you don’t need the features of your vehicle, just use skill, and then in the next breath say to use the features of the vehicle Both are tools, use them. Don’t handicap yourself
@dand7196
@dand7196 29 күн бұрын
the difference is that 4wd/4lo reduces stress on the vehicle, whereas lockers increase stress

I am wondering if there is a good solution to protect the powder coating on the rock rail from the stud?
@Jackie_IAG
@Jackie_IAG Ай бұрын
We honestly have not found that the studs do any sort of detrimental damage to the rail but you could add a small piece of rubber in between to give it a bit of cushion!

The active valve exhausts are a really cool new feature, have it on my '24 Mustang GT and it offers a wide range from super quiet to full track mode that is nice and loud! Ford is offering some really fun stuff on new vehicles, it's why I switched to all Ford vehicles and I couldn't be happier!!! Great video!!!

The standard bumper doesn't have many options. You may be able to find some aftermarket bulbs or housing replacement but unfortunately that would be it without a major over haul

Terrific exterior, captures all the cool bits of the big raptor but in a baby version, the hood scoops and side scoops, the wider fenders the big ford grill and raptor badging, wheels looks great, the stance is aggressive, it looks way meaner in person and the graphic package is awesome only thing they missed was amber headlights and markers but overall they blew the cover off the ball
