Hi. Last night KZbin recommended your "Will They Survive" video with this red minibus and the sweet pickup. I enjoyed it and afterwards I watched the introduction video. Today I've finished this one and it's a cliffhanger ending as it seems almost every video published afterwards is about a MK2 Transit Supervan. If you're still alive and have access to this channel, how did these projects end up working out? It'll be hilarious if it turns out one of the MK2 Transit videos answers my question...

I took my driving test in a mk1 transit tipper 37 years ago against my driving instructors advice. But I passed first time. I scrapped that same Transit with 6 months mot soon after because the engine was getting difficult to start. Same v4 you have there. Back then cars were £15 a ton for scrap.

Hows the van now? My dad had the same one in lemon yellow from 1977. He parked it when he bought a mk2 2.4 diesel for his business back ik '86. The mk1 stood for years and the headgasket started to seap through and there was coolant in the bores. We caught it in time and removed the sparkplugs en we could rotate the engine. We put some oil in the bores and we dragged it behind a car and it ran after 10 years. He sold it to a junkyard. I always found the Transit a way better van than a VW. Too bad they didn't go the route the old vw vans did. It was never really loved like a classic. I still have my fathers mk2 diesel which i want to restore. Greetings from Holland

We used to leave our car at someone's house near the airport who looked after cars when people went on holiday. He used to take us to the airport in a MK2 Transit minibus like this and it had the 2.0 Pinto engine. It just kept going and remember how bouncy the speedometer was. Really rare vans here in the UK now.

your lucky to have the diesel in Europe. In North America we only have the 8 cylinder which is plagues with problems, especially head gaskets. I think this Land Rover looks like a LR should look like.
