I’m so glad you went to common threads they are so awesome and give back to the community. Plus all their workers are volunteers. If you want to check out some cute antique stores you need to see lawrenceburg’s on the square plus their goodwill and there is a huge warehouse that has antiques and booths. Also Dickson or Bell Buckle. ❤❤❤

Oh my gosh, I thrifted almost all my kids clothes and still do for my daughter. I have some tubs out in the garage and I always shop a size ahead for both summer and winter/fall seasons. I label the tubs so I know how much I have. Girls clothes are super easy to do because you can be picky because there is so much out there. Boys clothes are easy when they are young,but it gets a little harder as they get older as boys are harder on their clothes and it doesn’t seem parents buy that as much.

Smart to buy jacket and sweater this time of year. I bought a sweater last week at the thrift store. 100% cotton and a beautiful blue color. I know my winter self will thank me.

Having a baby is what got me into thrifting. Kids grow out of clothes so fast, the thrift stores and consignment shops are bursting at the seams with barely used kids items. I would say 90% of my daughter’s wardrobe is thrifted. The only issue is that I over buy bc there are so many cute things available at a reasonable price.

Definitely recommend thrifting kids clothing whenever possible. They either out grow before they wear it out or you don’t have to feel bad when they ruin something expensive. Little kids don’t care what they wear so they don’t appreciate that you spent a lot of money on something. Take that savings and put toward a family outing or a gift the whole family can enjoy, like board games, movies, books. The clothes you picked up for yourself are very cute on you. 👍😍 Take care ❤❤❤

Kids grow out of their clothes so fast and stain them lol I thrift for my kids occasionally, if I find something good but usually go to Walmart, they have super good prices and pretty neutrals for both boys and girls!
@mrsdaisymama21 күн бұрын
They really do! Sometimes thrift prices aren’t much cheaper than Walmart or Target surprisingly - especially when there’s a sale

The last couple times I have been thrifting, I basically got all winter clothes, too (but I was shopping for my kids. There were hardly any summer clothes :/ I'm usually the opposite with thrifting for my kids vs. myself. I wear my clothes for longer, will at least try to take care of my stuff, and find it difficult to find the right size, especially in pants, so I tend to buy new. My kids, much the same as yours, also stain and tear their clothes so I don't bother investing in anything super nice. HOWEVER, the goodwill prices keep creeping up to the point that I have ended up buying from places like target and h&m for my kids recently because it's basically the same price but not pre-stained lol 😆
@megand57622 күн бұрын
I’m actually the opposite- I thrift so much clothing for my kids but less for myself. I find it wayyy harder to find the right fit for myself in person (I shop thredup) and find SO much that fits my kids at our local savers!
