Really makes you realise that a lot of class warfare was at play. A lot of Scottish people were persecuted and sent there due to ‘pety crime’ often at the expense of wealthy Brit’s who would wield power in the courts to get away with exploiting poorer individuals on mass. Not saying what whites did in Tasmania was good because it was part and parcel of white supremacy and genocide of indigenous people which is such a profound injustice BUT in what relates to the specific circumstances of which the settlers ended up being criminalised by the upper British class and sent to Australia is well documented here.

In saying all this, Richard Morgan sounds like a perfect example of what someone who excelled at organised violence and exploitation of local communities and indigenous peoples was. Not necessarily something to be proud of but it’s really a ‘rose coloured’ or more accurate yet ‘white washed’ take on his legacy.

Why is the old upload private, and why did you put a colour filter over this one? Is it to make it look less appealing?

Tasmania is known as the European version of Australia, 15 to 20 years ago it was rear to see anyone who was of multicultural backgrounds in Tasmania. Even the local indigenous people there, if they don't tell you you'd never guessed. Living expenses were cheaper but Jobs were scarce

I'm keeping an archive of Plate tectonics videos and their corresponding KZbin channels. They'll probably want to remove this the future when people finally understand what caused the planet to grow. Then I'll put them all on a channel for people to laugh at.

Super interesting! I stayed at the Penny Royal in may this year, it was sadly a ghost town. Didnt realise those boats were functional with cannons and all! That's so cool

This footage would be post 1952 and pre 1954. The fishing boat transiting Constitution Dock at 2 minutes 14 seconds in, is Aklavik. She was built by Alf Cuthbertson in 1952 for Mosman Dentist Dr. TJ Cottee. By 1954, she was based in Mosman (NSW) and became the centre of a massive police manhunt when she was stolen and put aground on Newport Beach by a young gentleman with a mental health issue. During the hunt, two police officers were shot and injured. The young man was captured and was sentenced to 10 years jail. Allavik is back in Tasmanian waters these days and owned by my cousin Wade and I.

If the Earth was expanding we would be able to measure it. If we can tell the Moon is moving away at 3.8cm a year, we could certainly tell if the planet WE LIVE ON was growing. Total bunk.
