In very loving memory of Mr. James "Red" Holloway (1927 - 2012 R.I.P. Gone but NOT forgotten).

I used to see Doug often many years ago (late 70’s) when he was with a great group the Charlottesville All-Stars. Unfortunately Doug passed away a couple of years ago. Another great blues man gone.

Nice! You have a lot of fun with your harmonica and it shows. You brightened my day. I am looking on marktplaats for something like this for Guitar and harmonica. I am from New Zealand but live in Hengelo now. Groetjes. Jerome Sutton

Jorge its not my product. I can’t just open it for you. My advise for you is, just buy one from Simon and do whatever you want. But don’t force me to do it for you. Sorry

What is the difference in tone, feel and volume between this ga-20 and your 1954 ga-6? What is your favorite?
@Harpsucker
@Harpsucker 7 жыл бұрын
its actually the same amp, they come in 3 different preamp versions, the older models got metal preamp tubes, the later models have 3x 12AX plus there is a model in between which have a mix metal & 12AX

Was this ME-8 modded with a second 6L6 tube? Usually it only has one and is a single ended type amp...

yeah it actually came this way, i am not sure what has been modded, but you are right this model is single ended

Couple of reasons I love this amp : 1. Lightweight and efficient class D power amp-This allows the amp to put out 100w per channel at a fraction of the weight of a traditional tube amp of comparable power 2. Speaker feedback system-The overdrive shaping circuit and the power amplifier’s output react to the speaker’s behavior, allowing the amp to be as responsive as a tube amp

I have a memphis mini I love but it is a bit small for concerts in the pub without amplifying it by the pa. I was thinking of the bandmaster with a 12AU7 but this video of the marble makes me doubt. I find it good but it seems a bit aggressive, maybe it is the 8 ''
@Harpsucker
@Harpsucker 8 жыл бұрын
i think they dont make the Bandmaster anymore, i dont like the 8" either, 10" is my favorite speaker in bigger amps
@patrickgire4438
@patrickgire4438 8 жыл бұрын
It seems to lack bass, is that the micro after you or the video that gives this impression. The band fender reissue seems more "warm" and "soft" for example but probably less manageable. What do you think please. I finds the dense mediums of all the marble' videos that I could listen. Thank's a lot for all your amp' test.

I have had 4 commandos. the best one I have had was the 1959 one. Had a 6au6 preamp tube instead of the octal ones and has much bigger alnico speakers. If you have one with work out rolas then stick jensen p8r's vintage ones and you will be cookin with fire

... wondering who originally brought out the DVD this has been taken from - wasn't able to find any info about it (except a picture which looks like the front cover of a DVD, funnily enough using the *1968* AFBF poster by Günther Kieser, with an inscription "'83 DVD") --- was it a bootleg or kind of an official release? Would appreciate any further info about that DVD for my AFBF discography at www.wirz.de/music/afbf.htm And - btw - thanks for uploading, I've added a link to it on my page! :-)
