This amps sounds much better with a dynamic element especially with a bulletini mic check out JD Blue on you tube. It sounds huge when run thru the PA as the live performance demonstrates. I've used many mics with this amp and the Bulletini sounds awesome with it. Have always loved your videos GREAT JOB

Thomas right most amps demo will sound similar to him since his got his own tone However some videos shows that some amps sounds way better / fatter / thinner/ cranchier than orhers. But well done Thomas great job for the harp comunity . We all need to thank you :) Maybe we should all donate and buy you a new amp ... Lol

How does it compare to the marble max. I have a max but it seems the MM has a grittier, dirtier tone?
@Harpsucker9 жыл бұрын
In my opinion the MM got the better tone !!!!

In the live situation, was that mic'd or line out? Looks mic'd.

Hi Harpsucker ...always like your vids and demo's. I have two vintage Gibson EH-125's. One has six tubes with 2 X 6SQ7's for preamp ( I sub one 6SR7 for tone ). The other has one 6SJ7 pentode for preamp ( again, I sub a 6SK7 for tone ). Also have a Noble Victor ...a rebranded Ampeg Rocket that has 2 X 6SL7's for preamp. Would like to hear you play / do a demo with these. Granted, they aren't very loud, but are great little harp amps. I do use an ART-MP preamp and sometimes mic out to the mains when using with a full band ...but I don't often gig with these museum pieces. Cheers, J 5&10's

I looked back at your marble max vid.... Unless I'm missing something this Mem mini amp has a better overall tone. I play a Mem mini never had a marble but I would get tired of that gritty sound every song this amp has more rounded authentic tone in my opinion

I have a basic set of Cross Overs and there junk!!! They lasted about 6 to 8 months before they blew out of key. I have 3 Big Rivers for 2 years now and there half the price and still playing great.
