Like Warren Buffet said, dividends are only good if the business you're investing into can't make good use of that capital. So, if you're trying to invest in businesses with actual growth, looking at dividends is a waste of time. Why are you investing into a company if they're returning capital to you because they think you can make better use if it than they can. It's not much different from bond investing. The way I see it, if you have a $1 million at some point, that'd be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50k - 70k in dividend income.

Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are alot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look

I wholeheartedly concur; I'm 60 years old, just retired, and have about $1,250,000 in non-retirement assets. Compared to the whole value of my portfolio during the last three years, I have no debt and a very little amount of money in retirement accounts. To be completely honest, the information provided by invt-advisors can only be ignored but not neglected. Simply undertake research to choose a trustworthy one.

If buffet selling, then Is this a good time to buy stocks? I know everyone is saying stocks are at a discount and all but just how long will It take to recover or am I better off putting my money elsewhere. I need a lot as rent, inflation alone eat up almost all of what I make with dependents and other obligations included. Tbh it's an uncertain year for me.

Be extremely attentive as we are entering an unusual market economy. That doesn't mean that you can't unravel opportunities in every sectors, you can but you should be considering rewarding options first. Tell-tale sign of a fraudster: They're always telling you how to spot a fraudster to help you protect yourself from "those kind of people". Warren won't defraud you as much as he'll just get a ton of capital pumped into his account from central bankers and then buy you out against your ability to resist in order to manipulate commerce in this country to the tailored desires of those who rule the world with worthless fiat currency. He's a hitman for central bankers, just like he's the new Joseph P. Kennedy creating the Great Depression by manipulating the market with unlimited capital from the same people. Central bankers can just create as much currency as they want to and then lend it to whomever they'd like to for whatever purpose they have in-mind. If you acquired your working capital from a bunch of small investors and you didn't have to go through them (a bank loan) for permission to start that business, they're going to crush you. If they don't want you running a business that produces quality refrigerators, they send Warren to hostile-takeover your company with the capital they issued to him for that purpose. His job is resource-allocation. They give him the money and he does what he's told to with it. And you aren't allowed to ride his coat-tails too much. I'm priceless, because their money is worthless.

When the pandemic struck, Buffet was also selling. It was a terrific time to buy equities overall and a great entry point for those in my generation, who were in their 30s and 40s. Do you believe this would be a good time to sell some stocks as well? I'm wondering what the best ways are to rebalance my $2 million holdings.

As of today, my cash reserve has yielded from $350k to nearly $1m

Worked under a private company taken over by PE firm. This happened under two separate companies I worked at and they both followed similar trends. I was senior leadership under the privately owned company and was transitioned out, along with my colleagues, due to my traditional views and interpretations of the companies success. Under both situations, the PE company focused on inorganic M&E growth and cutting costs in the form of both labor and a streamlined supply chain. This primarily resulted in a poorer product being offered, turnover of legacy staff, and a general brain drain. Ultimately, the PE firm sold the acquisition company (now structured completely differently) which actually sold LESS product than it did before, but was valued higher because of the accounting tricks (like focus on EBITDA) PE firms are known to utilize. Fundamentals only changed for the negative, and the company was a shell of its formal self, but the PE investors and C-Suite walked away with millions more in their pockets. They're like Viking pillager and they think of themselves as geniuses.

He’s a con artist selling you a narrative that only serves him. Don’t invest your money in the casino (stock Market). They are superficial business “assets” only designed to transfer wealth from the middle class to the billionaires. Don’t invest with them and don’t borrow from them. It’s all a big scam and the government is in bed with them. Are you really free if you’re in debt all your life? Usuary (interest) doesn’t create wealth. It creates more poverty. Don’t give or take interest.Don’t buy a house for $409,000. Instead take your $40-60,000 deposit and go to a developing country and buy house for 5$50-100,000 cash and rent it out for $250-$800 month as rental property. The west is a “developed” society with Little opportunities. Opportunities are in the developing world and the startup capital is very low. Attention is worth a lot of money in the west and it’s become the new currency.because if your not paying attention they can’t sell you anything

It is a mistake to ask Mr. Buffett about stock prices. He truly doesn't care. He wants to know the price of a business, which depends upon that business' profitability now and for the foreseeable future. Thus, Mr. Buffett buys a stock when its price comports with its long-term prospects. He is an investor, not a trader. A trader does not care about the value of the business, only about what someone else thinks is the value of the shares of stock in the business. And that only what that someone thinks for the moment when the trader offers the stock for sale. Put another way, Mr. Buffett goes to the market to buy, and then, having bought or not, leaves. The trader goes to the market and stays, buying and selling as other traders dictate prices.
