For 1968 In the U.S., the 273 engines were discontinued. They were replaced by the new LA 318 and 340 engines. The H.P. 273 is a nice engine that was overshadowed by the larger and thirstier 340. I didn't know that Barracudas were sold overseas. I am sure it is a nice car.

Yes, it was a beautiful car. 273 was mounted for European customers. Yes, less thirstier than my 283 on my 57 Chevy...

@@fazrocks When I was a teenager, a young man who lived across the street from me had an H.P. 273 in a 1965 Barracuda. I always loved the sounds it made when he drove off to work in the morning. I still have a soft spot for the H.P. 273 engines.

These notch-back Barracuda's have to be one of the most understated cars of the late 60's. With a strong 340, torque boxes and a 4 speed this thing could ROLL alot of big block cars 🛑 to 🛑! 👍

My first new car right out of high school was a 1970 grabber blue grabber mustang. 302 automatic. I wanted a Boss 302 but the insurance wouldn’t have it. There was a grabber blue white interior Boss 429 on the showroom floor. It was sweet!! Those were the good old days.

A "Windsor" ? FDOFRALMMFAO!!! 290hp at best! What a disgrace to the iconic Mach 1!! Youda been better off (power:weight ratio) w/the anemic wheeze-oh-2 with the just as lame C4 trans!!!

Was able to pick up a 70 Mach 1 in 78. Blown Cleveland so I put a Windsor in it. Boss 302 cam ,70 reworked heads, Ford alum intake, Holly 650, Hooker headers. Top loader, 3.91 posi. Played on Woodward in Detroit. Fun memories

Beautiful car and I love the way it sounds. I love those 1969 Machs. I didn't think the "shaker" hood scoop was available on the '69 Mach 1's. I thought the '69 hood scoops were all the fixed ones. Thanks for showing your great car!

Use to own a 71 Mach 1 w/351 Windsor ram air , 4spd …. I won often …. 69Charger , 69 firebird w/455 , 71 camera’s that I stump on the highway and 4 lane’rs , even small towns county roads. It was priceless and thank god ford from factory install a T45 hurst’s shifter 4spd that really made the difference in winning vs losing…

My five favorite options on the 69. Front chin strap, shaker hood scoop, magnum 500 chrome wheels, rear window slats and the rear deck spoiler.

I always loved that body style, the A body version was so unique that it always stood out in a crowd. It was a small car that really packed a punch and looked cool at the same time. I’ve had two of these cars and I miss both of them, enjoy this rare beauty because they are sadly fading into the pages of history.

Yeah Jason.. I get it too.. I had three of the notchbacks.. Also one fastback.. But that was back in the early early 80's.. I did see one of them I recently .. still perfect.. was parked at a golf course in FL.. hahah.. I left the guy a note.. he never called back.. but Heck that was in 2017.. same car.. but he did put newer tires on it.. Awesome platform of light weight and power.. DMAX

One of the best body shapes of US auto industry built. So neat, comperatively compact yet looking so aggressive and raw. I dearly love the notchback and this is a great sample. See how the chrome liners in the rear fit each other parts on the edge, you don't always see it and the car is not spoiled with stupid large wheels/low profile tyres.

@@fazrocks Finally! Every old Mopar I have come across here in Canada always has a GREEN interior. My cousin had a nice gold 68 notchback like yours...and when I looked inside ...ugh! a green interior LOL! I'm just curious, what do Europeans think of your car ?
