1968 Plymouth Barracuda Notchback 273 Mopar (Restored) AMAG

SOLD IN Oct. 2022.
Here's my 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Notchback in 2021, I've bought it in 2012 and restored during these years.
Here's a rare Euro Export Version, assembled at AMAG in Schinznach (CH) and at NEKAF in Rotterdam (NL). Imported by SIMCA Paris for the Swiss market. In Italy since 1979 (Targa Nera ( Black License Plate).
It has the matching number 273 (4.5L) V8, that in '68 was still available for Europe. Four Barrel Edelbrock 500 cfm Carburator and Edelbrock intake / Hedman headers / Deluxe Interiors / Woodgrain Rallye steering wheel added this year and restored by me, new interiors, new Cragar SS Rallye Wheels and BF Goodrich tires. The 273 Four Barrel air cleaner pie pan is custom designed to look like a factory feature.
Front and rear suspensions have been restored this year, new original mufflers have been added.

These notch-back Barracuda's have to be one of the most understated cars of the late 60's. With a strong 340, torque boxes and a 4 speed this thing could ROLL alot of big block cars 🛑 to 🛑! 👍

One of the best body shapes of US auto industry built. So neat, comperatively compact yet looking so aggressive and raw. I dearly love the notchback and this is a great sample. See how the chrome liners in the rear fit each other parts on the edge, you don't always see it and the car is not spoiled with stupid large wheels/low profile tyres.

I always loved that body style, the A body version was so unique that it always stood out in a crowd. It was a small car that really packed a punch and looked cool at the same time. I’ve had two of these cars and I miss both of them, enjoy this rare beauty because they are sadly fading into the pages of history.

Yeah Jason.. I get it too.. I had three of the notchbacks.. Also one fastback.. But that was back in the early early 80's.. I did see one of them I recently .. still perfect.. was parked at a golf course in FL.. hahah.. I left the guy a note.. he never called back.. but Heck that was in 2017.. same car.. but he did put newer tires on it.. Awesome platform of light weight and power.. DMAX

For 1968 In the U.S., the 273 engines were discontinued. They were replaced by the new LA 318 and 340 engines. The H.P. 273 is a nice engine that was overshadowed by the larger and thirstier 340. I didn't know that Barracudas were sold overseas. I am sure it is a nice car.

Yes, it was a beautiful car. 273 was mounted for European customers. Yes, less thirstier than my 283 on my 57 Chevy...

@@fazrocks When I was a teenager, a young man who lived across the street from me had an H.P. 273 in a 1965 Barracuda. I always loved the sounds it made when he drove off to work in the morning. I still have a soft spot for the H.P. 273 engines.
