They removed the fee promptly upon customer feedback. Unlike most tech companies that don’t listen to customers.

Yes, I stated this in the pinned comment a year ago. It wasn't listening to customer feedback, it was to save their own ass and avoid a public lynching.

I love this way of building customer loyalty in bars. It totally makes sense that happy customers lead to more business. The perks of relationship marketing often get overlooked, but they can really make a difference. I recently started using LoyallyAI to keep track of my regulars, and it’s been awesome. Seeing how customers respond to personalized offers is super rewarding.

Your episode on building repeat customers in bars is such a great topic! Focusing on exceptional service and building customer trust is really important. Tools like LoyallyAI can help you track loyalty and rewards effectively. Also, creating a strong local presence through community involvement can definitely bring in new customers. Keep pushing those strategies, and you’ll see your customer base grow!

Hey Ben, this is something you should probably schedule a demo for with SkyTab, as it's seems pretty specific and I'm not even quite sure what you're asking. Better to let them answer it for you. therealbarman.com/skytab-demo/ Best of luck. Hope you find what you're looking for. Cheers.

Nice work. I like all four of them, depending on your restaurant size. What about a system for large corporate dining halls, colleges, airports, and manufacturing facility dining halls-places where you must service up to 500 to 1500 people every 30 minutes? Like, Nextep or Agilysys?

Hey Dave I appreciate your videos You always do a great job... So it's my understanding that sky tab purchased revel last year at some point do you know if SkyTab plans on integrating the revel products? Revel had a very good system for pizza delivery and I was wondering if skytab had planned on doing the same
@DaveAllredTheRealBarman
@DaveAllredTheRealBarman 23 күн бұрын
Hey there. Yes, this is true the Shift4 (owner of SkyTab) purchased Revel last summer. I'm not sure if they are implementing the same pizza system that Revel has. Probably best to schedule a demo with SkyTab and let them show you what they can do for you. Best of luck. Cheers.

Anticipating a guest's need before they know they need or want it when serving at a bar, how would you do that? For context, I'm in Finland working at a nightclub where we don't have table service, food, or anything like that
@DaveAllredTheRealBarman
@DaveAllredTheRealBarman 28 күн бұрын
So bar service won't be as extensive as food service, and I have no idea how your club operates, but the trick is to think of anything and everything that your guests ask for while you're working and see if there's any way to anticipate what they need before they even ask. If you can't anticipate their needs because maybe you just take their drink orders and prepare them, then this wouldn't apply to you. Does that make sense?

Build the processing fee into your price. 1 - the fees are being paid for by the customer 2 - you still get the write off 3 - you get a little extra when they do pay cash. 4 - your customers are happy you don’t charge a fee for using a card (that they know)

I disagree with the reason. Yes experience is the result of the customer visit. Primarily, we choose the place in hopes of having a savory and tasty meal for a price. YES. Price. Living in Philly, they are countless places to choose to have a cheese steak and a beer. Countless. Then why do some people choose D'Angelo's, and other Max's? They are no sit-down, yet they have the volume of customers that other sit down places only wish. I believe we are looking at backwards. The product is always #1 We have been there, we have been to a place that we HATE. BUT. The food is amazing!!!! Finding great food in a place, with great service, and reasonable prices, is called an EXPERIENCE.

As someone living in Europe, service has never been the most important factor when deciding where to eat or drink. We get paid the same either way, and any tips we make is just extra and purely voluntary on the behalf of the guests If I ever found myself in Philly, where would you recommend?
@havock901
@havock901 28 күн бұрын
@RiffsandGin they are many places! Thank you for considering Philadelphia!, I would suggest my favorites, but as you would see in the comments, especially to my own , everyone in Philly has their favorite. Me personally, Sonny's on market street. That's my favorite, like I mentioned before, D'Angelos on South Philly and Max's on broad street. BUT PLEASE don't ever go to Geno's or Pat's. THE MOST HORRIBLE MEAT AND COSTUMER EXPERIENCE.

2.6% + 10 cents per transaction is very expensive in payment industry. That 10cents is equivalent to $ 100 per 1000 transactions . Most ISO are charging just 2.2 % - 2.8% overall which included the extra 10 cents, statement fee, PCI compliance fee, Transarmor fee (If you are using Fiesrv as your processcor from Chase, BOA, Clover, etc...) and the whole bunch of junk fee on top. This will work well for smaller restaurants who are tight in cash flow and up front investment though. Always check reviews and go by the final effective rate or interchange plus rate so you know exactly what you are going to be paying; no rate increase after 3-6 months kind of promotion, no gimmicks .... And that $5000 may be a bait & switch kind of tactic because if you are processing only $30K / month, your 3.2% - 3.5% processing fee will only be about $960. There is no way the company will give you $5000 when they only made a fraction of the $ 960 ! Do they mean up to $5000 so they can give you anywhere from $1 to $5000 ? False advertisement is unethical and can lead to serious consequents !

This is sincerely fascinating. I've discovered this service and video randomly at 3am. Late night random browsing for the win lol. I do bar stocktaking in Ireland and this is basically our method, with some differences, or maybe even just one. We use a scanner with a lead connected scales. Bluetooth would be interesting though. It's cool to see the process similarities between two different countries.

The latest trend in youtube is to act like you're "somebody" by making sure there's a giant dildo mic in your face. At least yours is covered with some kind of ring so it's not so obvious, but I really wish everyone would get those f'ing things out of the screen shot, they look so douche-bag-y.
