I love how it went from being the music for some random level in the middle of SMG, to being THE Mario theme of the recent era (last 20 years).

This song is as iconic as the Ground theme in Super Mario Bros for the NES and it deserves it. This song has always been beautiful and so freaking sexy.

At this point I’m just convinced this isn’t just gusty garden’s motif but just- Galaxy’s motif as a whole cuz it’s prevalent in a lot of its songs!

A little bit of this plays in Star Road (Wii) for Mario Kart 8. Also, Cloudtop Cruise Thundercloud reminds me of something I'd hear in a DBZ game.

I nearly cried when it played in the credits of the movie. There were so many little children in that screening because it's a kids' movie and most of them have probably played Mario on the Switch. But that moment, that was for me. And all the other 21+ year olds who were little kids during the wii's lifespan and could've only dreamed of seeing a movie like that.

Guys just think about it. In just 9 years Super Mario Galaxy will be as old as Ocarina of Time. The OoT graphics may look horrible now, but Super Mario Galaxy graphics still hold up. In just 9 years it will look as old as Oot of time looks to us now. Let that sink in.

I think that the main 5 note theme represents Link and his heroic actions, and the second longer theme represents Link and his actions helping/emotionally connecting with other people

I will never get tired of Gusty Garden’s theme in Mario games or movies or anything, it’s the most beautiful piece of music in gaming I’ve ever heard and glad Nintendo shows it this much love
