Holy smokes Tom, that was a lot of grime and gunk. I was surprised that the water was that dirty after the first run on account of how well you cleaned it. Looks like it’s ready for another round of use 👍 good job bringing it back

Tom..still have my hammer brand utility knives I bought in 1966. I was 10.bought it at a old store for 50 cents .I showed it at show and tell at Grammer school .thanks for the memories .

I have a buck 301 mine is two springs an it has the long nail groove on the long blade an says buck 301 USA do you know what year it was made it is my daily carry

I suspect that you have a 301 that Buck contracted Camillus to make. In 1967, the first Schrade contacted 301s were introduced. A couple of years later they changed the contact to Camillus. In 1985 Buck started making them in house. Buck made 301s have the small crescent nail nick. Check out my Buck playlist. The link was at the end of this video.
