Have you tried using 15,000 grit wet/dry sandpaper for cleaning and polishing? A mirror finish can be obtained without using a buffing wheel - a slower process to be sure but the results are very nice.

I have only used 5000 grit, and haven't went any finer. More and more I've been leaving more "character" to the Knife. But, maybe I will try using it someday. Thanks for watching, my friend.
