Reading some comments made me think that this calculator was harder to use and it made everything more tedious than older models like the 991EX for example, but having the actual calculator in my hands i can realize that everything is not that bad, it just fits more stuff inside a menu and the important stuff is on the outside. I consider this model to be more useful for students as some college/highschool students may find useful the menus to memorize and/or learn the name of most of the functions that weren't named before and they just knew the icon and what it does, and yeah, that may sound like a weak argument but we can leave the menu as a way of taste and availability as i couldn't find the 991 EX in my country but i could find this one faster.

On some models, pressing 6 shows a menu to select the options

Cp 400 is the fastest but due to its massive screen is the slowest 😂😂 (slower than ti nspire cx cas)

What if the standard deviation is unknown, but you do know everything else. Can you calculate that using distribution mode? (Including knowing the surface) Because if you don't know the "X" you can fill in a random number and change the surface after that, but you can't fill a random standard deviation.

Why did they make this calculator so complicated? When I was using a SHARP caclulator, all I had to do was simply press one button to switch between a fraction and/or a decimal.

I got CG50, should I want a 9860 or 9750more?? I think NO!

Having come from an older version, the thing I'm most annoyed about having purchased this calculator today, is the removal of the % button. It's now behind Catalogue - Probability - %. There are literally keys that don't have a shift function that this could easily have been added to as with previous models.

It is even quicker if you have the Classwiz 991 ex or the 991 cw. The polynomial solver can show you the minimum x and y values (lets call them a and b) then completed square will be: (x-a)²+b

This is super handy in engineering surveying too. We measure the length(r) and bearing(θ) of a line connecting a known point to an unknown one. Changing the (r,θ) into rectangular coordinates gives the difference in northing and difference in easting between the points which can be added to the values of known coordinates to obtain the new coordinates.

CASIO needs to fix its fx-CG50 Spreadsheet app. =CellIf(B1=0,A1/1,A1/B1) returns an MA Error if B1=0 The same formula works perfectly on my HP Prime calculator and indeed in spreadsheet apps such as MS EXCEL. I can't tell you how disappointed I was when I noticed this bug. The fx-CG50 is supposed to be a top tier product. 😞

5:04 you can define two functions f(x)=(3x-8)/(x-2)² and g(x)=3/(x-2)- 2/(x-2)² in the table and see if both return same number fo same values of x. It can be done even without a graphing calculator and I like that.

Why would they advertise it with a backlight blue display, when it doesnt have that, its dark display, werry hard to see whats on the screen if your not in a werry bright room
