If your equation RHS is zero you can type in only the LHS part without typing in an equal sign and hit solve. The calculator automatically equates the LHS to zero and give you the solution. You can use the same trick for non zero RHS by simply bringing it to the LHS side and hitting solve.

I finished my numerical analysis exam few weeks ago. I use the table mode to find the midpoint values in a bisection method problem. The table method also generates table of values for use in Simpsons method. The equation mode helps you find the solution to linear equations.

There was a no CALC option on this model. It is under TOOLS on some international models, but not fx-991CW
