Composed in 1969 so here in late 2024 (~56 years later) we are nearly exactly as close in time to the date of Bryers’ homage as Bryers was to the original event (April 15, 1912). Now ain’t that somethin’.

Guitarists! Would you say the guitar tone is a combination of: 1. tape delay 2. phaser 3. spring reverb & tremolo from the amp? Any clues? This is the most ethereal guitar tone I've ever heard. What do you think? Thanks in advance!!

So this is an off- kilter variation of “Swing Low Sweet Chariot” that tires out after 10 minutes. Wow.

I miss my little gray cat. I miss her with all of my soul.. and it hurts that’s she’s not around any more.. when she was gone.. I didn’t know what to feel or think.. it was like I just froze. I didn’t know what to do of her pictures. I couldn’t look at them without crying. And after a while for the first time I grieved. And I miss her. I miss her fur on all my stuff.. how much she loved to be near me. The way she’d cry outside my door if I left her out. How’d she play around and bite me sometimes.. she left me a tattoo. A small scratch on my arm. It’s one of the only things I have left of her.i wish I could’ve held her one last time. My sweet Ivy Lu.

An ageless masterpiece of minimal techno! The minimalist composers like Steve Reich and Philip Glass pale in artistic brlliance next to this gem and other works by Richie Hawtin. 🎉

I have left instructions that this should be the entrance music to my funeral. To be played whilst people are getting themselves seated. It was an important album whilst my wife was pregnant with our son. I would play it in the hope that the deep beats would penetrate the womb, and our baby would hear it. Then, when he was born, I played it a lot to hope that he would be reminded of the womb when he heard it. Then, as he was growing I would occasionally play it and ask him if he recognised it from anywhere? He now recognises it as that album that dad did all that stuff with!! 😂

The best recording of this fantastic piece. But did there really need to be three chord changes? Peace.
