I do like this kind of surveys even if I think that there are still some stereotypes in the answers of the people questioned. In my opinion nowadays Italians'way of dressing has worsened. And what about the respect for the elder? Disappearing, even if still existing, especially in small cities or villages. And believe me, I know many people who can't cook at all. Anyway the major point, according to me, it's forming an opinion just visiting touristic attractions such as Rome and Venice. To me it's like thinking of knowing the Britons after a visit to London.

My family came from the Netherlands to America almost 4 centuries ago. They were Dutch and French Huguenots working for the Dutch West India Company. The only connection I have today is membership in a Dutch Reformed Church denomination which I was Baptized in. Because of it I have had contact with Dutch people who have come here to work for Dutch companies. Some married Americans and live here now as citizens. We have a strong work ethic and there's a level of thriftiness that comes seemingly naturally. I'm aware of the view that we are more than thrifty to some people. Comments like "Dutch Treat", the treat that isn't a treat. Despite the low number of church goers in The Netherlands the Dutch Calvinism of the past is ingrained culturally even in we who have never strayed from the New York/New Jersey region where our ancestors landed.

Actually Brexit has been great. We just haven't made the most of it. So many silly remoaners never understood why we voted correctly to leave. Travel to Europe hasn't made it harder to visit. Easier than going to the US. At least a few of these people were smart enough to realise there are others factors.

I used to be a foreign language student with EF in Hastings between 1996-1997 and then I lived in Bexhill, however I always look upon Hastings as my home, and despite of living in Suffolk now, I always regard Hastings as my home and trying to move down here. People here are so welcoming and lovely

Why should the UK miss Europe? The UK is an island group of the Northwest coast of Europe. It has never been friends with Europe but has fought wars against most of it., and not lost since 1066. Even though the UK did not exist that far back.

Another thing some Britons do is the passive-aggressive "you're welcome" to signify a missing "thank you". Say, when they stepped aside to make room for you on a walkway that was wide enough for both of us in the first place.

I'd love to see someone who owns that they are or consider themselves "upper class". In the US, it's common for a large number of people to state that they are "middle class", or variations of middle class, who might otherwise be considered something else. It helps (or at least used to) reduce class tension and a notion of classlessness, if not actual economic and social inequality.

But brexit is good for you. If men define situation as real it’s real in its consequences. Brexit means Brexit. Keep brexit done. Get brexit working. Now you have fun with visa and customs regulations. Congratulations to your brexit decision. Now you have enough money for your NHS. Enjoy your splendid isolation. You don’t need foreign medical staff, workers from east Europe for your fieldwork. Best joke of the century: rejoining EU, not in hundred years. And Boris is enjoying his new swimming pool.
