My question still is where was the safeguard vehicle driver and what does protocol tell him to do when his vehicle is blocked like that... I thought ramming through the Ford Ranger since you have bulletproof glass and navigate to the nearest police station or to your depo was the first and maybe only option here

He had deliberately abandoned the steering wheel to facilitate the Robbery. Because wherever I have observed the driver doesn't leave the steering at all he is ready to move to avert any eventuality. This is a clear act of deliberately exposing property to theft in collusion.
