Nice to see you back Steve! I’m also lucky to have the New Forest on my doorstep and will certainly take your advice re. fully exploring the area you happen to be stood in. Composition and locations are a perennial struggle for me ! The shot of the gnarly old tree was a cracker .

Great video Steve, lovely images especially the first one 👍🏼. Just love birch tree and bracken which always turn first when autumn is around the corner. Just out of interest which lens did you use?

So sorry for your loss 😔 It's been 9 years since mine (Rusty) passed away. I adopted him when he was 8 weeks old and passed just shy of his 15th birthday. They'll forever be missed.

This video has really given me some confidence in using my 18-140 on my D7500 for taking good quality landscape photos. This will also challenge me to improve on my LRc skills. Thank you!

Hi , thanks for the comment . 18-140 is a great lens for woodland photos, editing can be a challenge , I try to bring out the rich colours of the greens and browns. Good luck

My condolences, I know what it’s like to lose such a loyal and faithful friend. They are not just pets they are companions, friends, family. I lost one back in 2019 and another last year. They both were by my side for 10 years and to this day it’s still hurts but at the same time I know they’re in a better place.

I wanted a Nikon D500, but I traded my Nikon D7500 for a NikonD780. The 780 works the best in low light especially in the hockey arena.

Hi , some shots were taken on a tripod , but that lense is so lite its easy to hold it with a slow shutter speed.

Hey, Steve! I was looking forward to your new photos. Health. No more pain. It's surprising that you don't have snow in England. We have a very snowy winter in Russia this year. It’s a pity that we only have few sunny days and it’s very difficult to find a composition. But without snow it is very boring. I love winter very much and in frosty weather of -25 I go ice fishing. But there’s simply nothing to film there. Bare field and frost.

A 50mm lens is a good lens for landscape photography. Light to carry and allows to exit form the comfort zone of the zoom lenses..

Don't know you from Adam, Steve, but this caught me this morning after watching your your 50mm woodland trek with Howie. I subscribed and was scanning your videos when I saw this one about Howie. I'm so sorry that he's physically gone from you. My dogs are my best friends too. I strongly believe that Howie will always be with you at your shoulder thru your future travels. Hugs to you man.

Hello Steve! Not bad pictures. At this time it is difficult to find a good composition. But you succeeded. Take care of yourself and don't fall again. And in Russia the third day is -20 and that’s great! Real winter! We've been having very mild winters lately.

Hi thanks for the comment , the easiest way to find an image to shoot , is the one which catches your eye from a distance.

Pretty good vid. Most colors look when adding some saturation, but green you need to be careful with. To me the green looked a little much. Of course, it is subject to person taste. Happy shooting.
