This video has really given me some confidence in using my 18-140 on my D7500 for taking good quality landscape photos. This will also challenge me to improve on my LRc skills. Thank you!

Hi , thanks for the comment . 18-140 is a great lens for woodland photos, editing can be a challenge , I try to bring out the rich colours of the greens and browns. Good luck

Thank you, Steve, tips and tricks always lead to new idea's when out in the woodland, you made images out of nothing really, so the next visit to the woods I shall walk a bit more slowly and open my eyes a bit more! your pictures look great on my monitor....

Cheers Des for the comment , the art is in the edit of the pictures , many hours in lightroom to perfect how to get the best out of any image. All those images were taken with in 100 metres of each other.

Great video Steve and great tip with the clarity brush! I wonder if that works with the texture brush as well? I like that you included the "hello aeroplane, bye!"
@SteveMillerPhotography2 жыл бұрын
Cheers Noel , thanks for watching , clarity brush will work on most objects you want to stand out and slightly lighten them as well.

Enjoyed this video --subscribed ! ... question?? why does the set up look blown out on the back of the cam screen ? If I did that my photo would be blown out too? maybe just my laptop screen
@SteveMillerPhotography8 ай бұрын
Hi , thanks for the sub . its the gopro I was filming with which makes the back of camera look blown out .

Hi love this video I struggle to find a compostion in the woodland. Can you tell me is it better to change the aspect ratio in camera or just crop later please. ☺
@SteveMillerPhotography Жыл бұрын
Hi Angela , thanks for the comment , I always crop later if needed , it then becomes part of the editing ,when you have more time to study the image.😊

It appeared to me that in some of the images, you used negative clarity or negative dehaze to soften the depth of the scene. Is that correct? The last shot was my favorite of the day. I thought it was really nicely done.
@SteveMillerPhotography2 жыл бұрын
Cheers Philip , I lower contrast on all my images to soften them , then add clarity brush to pick out trees and other subjects , hope this helps.
