I love this song and I started playing it before realising it's low G tuning. Is there a way of playing it on a standard tuning uke?

It won't sound discordant as the g string on the standard ukulele is simply an octave higher. It will sound less 'basey', but the arrangement is still quite legible as Freight Train, so definitely have a go!

You're welcome. I've tried to give a flavour of both versions, the more melancholy pace of the Jules version but with a nod to the instrumental bridge of the T for F version. There are some good tutorials on youtube of the Gary Jules version as well.

Please don't apologize. I welcome feedback. My intention is not generally to try and create carbon copies of originals. Partly due to the different scope of the ukulele compared to the guitar which you alluded to. What I do try to do with the arrangement, however, is attempt to create a 'feel' of the song, alongside showcasing what I see as the versatility of the ukulele despite it's limitations as well as arranging it so as that it's not too difficult to play. Obviously, this a question of taste but I appreciate your feedback. Barry :)
