I grew up during the late Barry Sanders era to the garbage era of Detroit. Now, we are 10-1 and might finish with one of the best records of all time under Dan Campbell. I want a Super Bowl win

Honestly the best objective breakdown of Staffords career with the Lions I have ever seen , I think this gives great insight into the debate if Stafford is that dude or not , Coming from a bias (but with the stats to back him up) fan , this take really defines him as a QB for better or worse. Great work man!

A 'good' but not 'great' summation of Stafford's career !

As a Packers fan, I never feared Stafford or the Lions team he lead (I likely did not feel the former mostly because the latter was so generally awful), but I respected the heck out of his toughness and ability and knew that more often than not, it would be no cakewalk to stop him. I did fear Megatron.

As a Lions fan I got nothing but respect for Stafford. Even though those teams weren’t great he made watching football fun for a fan base starving for any hope. His trade was one the key moves in sparking our renaissance. Thanks #9 you gave us everything you had every Sunday and imo the toughest QB to ever play.

6-10 in 2010 was decent considering they started 2-10. I'll always respect him for how much he gave this team. Hell, he wanted to come here. Sam Bradford stayed in college an extra year, most assuming to avoid being drafted by Detroit but Stafford wasn't scared of it. I feel the 2014 season playoff loss to Dallas is when doubt about getting it done here probably started to creep into his head. Maybe they still don't win with that penalty but the chance of winning was taken from them.

It's crazy to think that the 2 teams (Panthers and Packers) to make the playoffs with a losing record (7-8-1) happened in back to back years

There was hardly any contact there, makes me believe he already had a fracture. One thing is for certain, he never should have been allowed to suit up for that final game. X-rays had to show the injury, just shows how winning is more important than a mans life to some.

Excellent video. The 2015 Panthers were a special team. But for a "tell" discovered by the Broncos on the Panthers O-line, the Panthers probably win that Super Bowl. It was excellent that you played Devil's Advocate on the fumble & the presser after the game. He did nothing wrong.

Panthers soft schedule had a lot to do with it although they stepped up in the playoffs. Cardinals were the better team at least in the regular season and Palmer deserved the MVP in my opinion but voters couldn’t overlook that 15-1 record.

He’s a hall of famer in my book. He went and got his ring and by leaving he single-handedly facilitated the lions turn around. Basically every one of those draft picks were turned into key players for the current roster. Brad Holmes has been excellent with his draft selections.

Man I agree with you. But I think its deeper than the "Mathew Stafford Lions" that were utter chaos. Because the rot was evident with Barry Sanders too. It was the "William Clay Ford III / Martha Ford Detroit Lions" that were in utter chaos. As soon as Shelia took over, turned them right around. Its almost embarrassing how quickly she fixed things around here.

Old Jay "Poopy Pants" Cutler. Man, myth, legend. The Honolulu blue faithful called Jay "Poopy Pants" because his facial expression, unwavering, was that of a man with fecal debris in his butt-huggers. Inexplicably throw the ball downfield into double coverage? With a knuckle popping, finger bending, cannon arm, and "Fuck it" attitude, yes. In Jay's mind, no DB could hang on to that nicotine stained rocket reaching low earth orbit. Man, Jay threw that a mile! Into double coverage! He's Jay "Poopy Pants" Cutler and he has diabetes.
