As a Texans fan, the rest of the NFL doesn’t realize the Butterfly Effect that 2013 season has on the Texans to this day. In retrospect, it led our abhorrently delusional, old owner Bob Warden McNair to take the HORRIBLE approach of trying to copy the Patriots. And there was always problems with the roster due to poor management by Rick Smith (Although his 1sts were always AMAZING except Kevin Johnson) and Buttchin having so much influence on draftees. We were always pretenders under Watson due to bad coaching, bad culture (lack of embracing identity), bad o-line, bad secondary, mediocre rb play. And in the most Houston fashion, Chiefs game… In retrospect, those few years of darkness after that made us fans numb to pain. But Hannah McNair, Nick Caserio, Demeco, and Cj and co. have saved us. This sudden turnaround feels like 2015 Astros season. So next time you make fun of a Texans fan, just know we’re pretty numb to insults on our team, but we will come in and surprise you by making you a laughingstock on any given sunday with or without CJ. I’m looking at you Jags and Titans fans 😂

That 2013 season was so fucking rough. So many close games that almost ended the losing streak. I was at the Raiders one and it’s still the only Texans game I’ve been to in person (tickets were cheap that year lol) but yeah man that season started so well with two back to back W’s, week one against the Chargers was a MNF comeback too (Chargers were up 28 to 14 going into the 4th quarter where the Texans scored 17 unanswered). That season ruined a lot of Texans fans and it’s why we always get skeptical when we start seeing successes lol

Few suggestions: - Introduce the players as they are drafted/ joined the team instead of 3-4 years into career - slow down when going over additions/ loses - maybe add some clips of players or play callers talking - 19:20, you talk about the Hail Mary but showed it 5 seconds before I like the thumbnail! In 2010 Schaub led the Texans to a 4TD comeback to force OT vs the Ravens.. then threw a pick 6 in his first pass attempt of OT. That was before his pick 6 skid officially started. In 2013 coach Kubiak had a heart attack jogging to the locker room at halftime during a primetime game and was replaced by Wade Phillips. This was during that 2-0, 0-14 season. David Carr was a pretty good QB, he got hit so much because the Texans never protected him, and it shattered him. They took a huge risk/high reward gamble in the expansion draft trying to get boselli (sp?) and it failed. After him they just ignored OL help, the NFL even made a draft commercial mocking the Texans for ignoring OL. Carr could’ve been good, but Hopkins was and they traded him for a payday loan.

I know Kubiak has a decent career as a coach and his SB win in 2016 really makes the Texans look bad, but I don't give him that much credit for that 2016 campaign and I think the Texans made the right move dropping him. He was extremely predictable with some of his playcalling, like he'd run that same bootleg play multiple times a game, for years. Peyton Manning really covered many of these deficiencies. He was also odd with some of the players he liked, like Shiloh Keo, who I'm pretty sure would not have had an NFL career otherwise.
