that's most likely asbestos that you've cut into, be careful and get it tested because asbestos is a known carcinogen that causes cancer like mesothelioma and other illnesses like asbestosis and it has a very long latency period which is typically anywhere between 10-50 years. i'd suggest for you to get it tested asap.
@aliturk66927 күн бұрын
also as far as i know armstrong still uses asbestos so it's very very dangerous.

Nice video, that oscillating tool sure looks handy. I find it ridiculous that the big box stores don't sell door jamb material with the groove for weather stripping, By The lineal foot. Home Depot has a set of PVC door jam molding to do a complete 7-ft door for $70.00
@philshock380513 күн бұрын
Thanks for that ... they sure do. (not enough for a complete door though - only one side.) Much better deal than the "Boss" door jamb kit.

Thank you, that was helpful. I’ve got a small house that desperately needed more sunlight so I spent the last decade buying daylight bulbs. And was happy to switch from the very orange dim lights that we had before. I’m wanting to make things feel a bit more glowy now that winter is here so I bought the soft white thinking it was somewhere in between the dark orange and the daylight. Turns out it’s just the same dark orange we had before. I agree. The 4000k is the nicest. Warm but not orange.

That is a fantastic repair job. Unless you are looking at the door jamb, you are not going to notice at all. Your visitors would never know it was repaired. Only a trained eye would notice that - such as a relator or a home evaluation person. Thank you for showing us how it is done. I actually have to repair a gate that has some rotting. posts, it has given me the confidence to do it myself . SO THANK YOU!!

i have had this ice/water build up issue for so long! i tried both the clip and clog, but neither worked. i will try your temp sensor solution and hope for the best. thanks so much!!!
@KYKCreationsАй бұрын
I really hope it works out for you! The last thing that I might have tried if replacing the sensor didn't work would have been to replace the defrost heater before just calling it quits (and just getting a new fridge), but i didn't need to go there.
@DYIIdeasАй бұрын
This video is very clear and well-done. The only thing I would suggest is that when the diverter is disassembled, it would be a good idea to soak it in CLR, which dissolves hard calcium deposits.

I just found out that I have the same problem. My nest thermostat was turning off and on intermittently displaying an error code e74 no power detected. After doing some research, I found some information about the heater’s on/off safety switch is underneath the cover. When I opened the cover I saw the switch was all mashed. I ordered the part from Amazon and delivering tomorrow. Only in my case the flat part of the switch is pointing down as opposed to yours pointing up. But that doesn’t matter because all it needs to do is to be suppressed by the panel. Although I don’t think that the switch was the issue because the AC is running most of the time, only at times it was shutting off by itself and displaying the error message e74. Unless the broken switch could have been the reason in one way or the other. Last time I had an AC guy climb up the attic and opened the cover to check for the 24 v power. When he placed the cover back on, apparently he tightened the screws so tightly as even crooked the panel itself. So the kind of force shattered the switch in tiny pieces. Hiring a technician to fix the problem, they end up adding more problems to an existing problem. You did the right thing by becoming your own technician. Thanks to the KZbin that people can learn things from each other. A question though; did you manage to find the exact Goodman OEM part or a replacement one? I couldn’t find the exact part anywhere. Even at Goodman website they sell an updated version. But the part is so flimsy. I can’t believe Goodman makes high end AC and Heaters yet using such a loser’s choice part for a high quality heater.
@KYKCreationsАй бұрын
I bought a really inexpensive replacement part (not OEM) that has been working flawlessly.

Yes, I did! I was belatedly grossed out later when I figured out what those little black things were! I couldn't figure out what they were at the time because I had never seen mouse poop like that in a house before. As silly as it may sound, I thought it was some type of construction debri in the ceiling.
@barrywendelsonАй бұрын
@@KYKCreationsthere were mice living up there? Or was it old poop remaining from a previous mouse tenant

@@barrywendelson i'm not sure. The house was vacant for about 6 months when bought it. I got the house treated for mice at the same time i got it treated for termites professionally.
