Yes! I have si joint dysfunction. Psoas dysfunction due to it. I have very tight and painful hip flexors. I can feel it in the si jojnt area. Ql. By asic/groin. In the thigh. Glute. TFL. I'll get nerve going down side of leg to the foot and it's related to my glute med/min and TFL. So doing abductor work,clamshell to address weak glutes to help si joint dysfunction actually makes the med/min and TFL tighter. I have to get the hip flexors to release and be stronger and then work the glutes or find exercises that work the glutes in isolation. Bridging I can do. But moving my leg past midline, external rotation, abbduction is very problematic. and that same hurt side is more internally rotated while the non hurt side is externally rotated.

Backing the neck up as double chin and stretching my neck on the side in addition to pulling my arms into each other to squeeze my shoulder blades together this whole combo is helping a lot! I am doing all of these stretches about 3 times a day and it's slowly improving. I'm on Day 3 now.

I don’t really have much pain in my knee, but I have some swelling below my knee on the medial side of my ti just below the knee. When I go into any type of deep lunge with my close to my butt, I get a lot of crepitus when I come out of that lunge. Any ideas what could be going on or other videos to watch?
@Performance-Place-chiropractor
@Performance-Place-chiropractor 18 сағат бұрын
Hi there. Honestly it would be hard to tell without doing an assessment. Crepitus can be from excessive work over time due to injury to the knee, around the knee, surrounding areas like ankle or hip or even poor build up of sport activity. There are too many variables and I wouldn’t speculate without having more information. Set up a Consultation so we can talk directly

@@Performance-Place-chiropractor thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately, there's other credible health care workers with other strong opinions. I read this "Herniated Disc: A Survival Guide: Everything you need to know to manage your lumbar disc herniation without surgery" twice and they religiously say to stay away from any forward bending. What am I supposed to do in a situation where I'm getting conflicting advice?

Ya I’m sorry that’s happening. Everything is always dependent on the person, pathology, past injuries etc. it’s a misconception that all people need the exact same thing. To know what is best for you you’ll need a detailed physical assessment with someone who knows how to tailor a program of care based on what they fine. Email us and maybe we know someone in your area

I’d say start with this, but then work more to loosen the deep hip external rotators so the femur is more centered in the joint (vs forward). Frequently the forward positioning of the femur causes impingement with hip flexion and makes the hip flexors sore and seem very tight/stiff.
@Performance-Place-chiropractor

I wouldn’t disagree. It’s all situation based. What one person needs other won’t. Some even require more core support to allow for better hip centration. All case dependent

It is the start and stop that tends to get people. The spine has to over come the force of inertia each time we start and stop. In a spine that does not have any active problem it is not an issue and once people can settle the problem down it is no longer an issue. Good comment

I have a herniated disc L5 for three and a half weeks now. My back doesn't hurt at all but my calf (outside) of my left leg hurts like crazy. I can't even walk 100 mtr without having terrible pain. Doctor said I have to wait it out because in 90% of the cases it'll heal naturally after about 6 to 12 weeks. Are there any exercises specifically for sciatic pain in the calf?

We have a great podcast coming out next week on the Restoring Human Movement Podcast regarding Sciatica and various types. We would need to do an assessment to figure out the best course of action. In the podcast an expert covers timelines and expectations. Please contact us if you’d like one on one help. Contact in description for video

@Performance-Place-chiropractor
@Performance-Place-chiropractor 6 күн бұрын
@Jah_gg We do on our website (link in description) and we have even better custom ones we design when we see people one on one. We have lots of videos on KZbin about it as well but to be honest, the exercises and stretches we show are PARTS of the program we put together but as always, everything should be tailered to your body, your condition/ severity and much more. While we show what we use the same intensity of exercise would not be used for a teenager verse a 50 year old.. and sports/ activity preference matters. I’d suggest setting up a Discovery Session to help figure out what one is right for you. Currently it’s $29 for 30 mins to talk about what your options are with an expert

Very useful video🙏🏼 do you think its possible to have both sports hernia and a groin strain at the same time ( i do martial arts tricking which involves a lot of kicking fliping and twisting your body very explosively) I took two weeks off with doing some of the normal recommended exercises for a groin strain, but every time I think I healed up and start training, after two sessions the pain comes back. How do I fix that? Would very much appreciate any advice
@Performance-Place-chiropractor
@Performance-Place-chiropractor 7 күн бұрын
@Ottzeltricking Anything is possible. In order to figure out how to solve it we would need more information and examination to see what is affecting what. An examination helps us figure out how to solve it and see if there is a tear or strain, is there compensation or not, is the muscle imbalances or not, etc.... we can help you and we have seen many people with a similar situation because we have so many KZbin videos on it but each person's suggestions are unique. Alternately you would probably get some great information (too long for KZbin) on our free webinar - link in description or one of our podcasts Restoring Human Movement on your podcast player. We released a bunch of new updated info on sports hernias and how the hip/ groin is related. Episode 279 "Which factors differentiate athletes with hip or groin pain from those without" is a good one to start on. Lastly we have a new KZbin video I spent a long of time on to help those understand more about the relationship of the lower abs, adductor, hip and more with groin/ lower ab pain. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXqchISdncRqfMk Please emails us so we can get you set up with a Discovery Session if you want our direct help.
