Excellent video. I already have fusion 360, but recently installed Blender and it seems pretty similar. I will give it a shot on there and if no luck, definitely going your route. Thanks 👍🏻

Man idk how the hell you got the mesh on the box to carve out. Idk what im doing wrong with the programing but mine just gets stuck at 80% toolpath progress and wont want to carve down to the lowest depth im trying to carve to. It does not want to carve the meshes I have sculpted to my box.

I just tried this on my sword handle. Now it fits the bronze applications on my scabbard way better! Thx for this amazing trick, had been looking for a way to galvanise, but this is so much more easy to do by yourself! You made my day.

I think I have the Wacom One 12. I don’t have experience with any other models I just read some reviews and then picked this one because it seamed like good value for the price.

Coverage question: Thank you! Really useful as I am about to prepare and paint an XPS sculpture for outdoor exhibition in both the dry/hot and rainy/cool Mexican climate where we live. The surface area is about 40-50 sq ft. How much of the West System epoxy would you recommend to cover this? I ask because it is more than double the US price here and I expect this to be a one-off, but long-lasting, project.
@Chemical14
@Chemical14 23 күн бұрын
I couldn’t tell you with a lot of confidence how much you need for that, I’m usually using it for much smaller projects. You’re going to want to do a few coats for an outdoor project. I think you might need a little more than the one gallon kit. Make sure you mix in small batches and I would get the slow hardener. The more you mix at once the faster it heats up and cures because it’s an exothermic reaction.

How long it will last? Is this a rust protection?
@Chemical14
@Chemical14 23 күн бұрын
It won’t protect against rust on its own. I would still do a clear coat over it if it’s going to be outside.

This is great. Fortunately AI is able to create height maps pretty well now. Turn an image to height map with AI then use the map as your displacement in blender. Apply the modifier.

This is the best tutorial video I have seen on just about anything. I hate tutorials that cover this amount of content and take like an hour as they show how to select every little thing. I understand those are sometimes needed but I want a 10 min video that just goes through it.

Do you think this could be achieved using a heat gun rather than a torch? My heat gun reaches around 1500⁰F on its highest setting... Don't have the best environment to use a torch being that I live in an apartment complex.

There seems to be a marching band drowning you out. Stressy. Seems like there's some good info in there. Too bad about the music. Edit: I figured out to just turn the volume off and use captions. Solves both the annoying marching band and how to understand what you are saying.
