I guessing the whole building will have to be demolished and start over? Or can some section be saved?

They’ve been told they have to demolish the entire building and start over.

I'm glad you had this video. Because the News Stations don't show this part.👍

If you watched the live breaking news they showed everything. They just didnt have this angle. Most showed Rampart street towards St. Claude or North side of Canal. This angle is Rampart towards O'Keefe I think or south side of Canal. This gives a better view of how the jib fell in the street. I believe there was a pad placed underneath the part of the jib that stuck upright on the road.

3/8/2020 stand back its not over, ( Mohan Kailas ) owner, developer, contractor criminal, in my opinion ( Mohan Kailas ) is responsible for the deaths of the construction workers at Hard Rock, New Orleans Louisiana, U.S.A. ( Mohan Kailas ) is now orchestrating an attempt to demolish his partially collapsed building along with finishing his botched attempt at bringing down the two damaged tower cranes, Hard Rock. After all the crimes ( Mohan Kailas ) has committed is allowed to continue is mind boggling. It appears everyone is in ( Mohan Kailas's ) pocket, Greed, corruption, bribery, conspiracy, on and on, truly, stand back

Why?...
@mikelosinger74694 жыл бұрын
Because the building had a catastrophic failure, the cranes were essentially butted up to them. Could not safely disassemble the cranes, had to blow it to control their falls.

An absolutely superb fuckup! And only $5 million paid up front. Can’t wait for the next episode.

It didn’t go exactly as planned but there seems to be a lot of misconceptions about what that plan was. The objective was to make the cranes fall into the main building after dropping the counterweights and booms. The crane that is draped over the building is right where it’s supposed be and it will be cut up and lowered in pieces with equipment that was already on scene waiting. Parts of the other crane fell the wrong way which wasn’t that surprising because it was leaning sharply that way. They built barricades out of shipping containers on that side to protect the Saenger theater for just that reason. The boom that fell toward the saenger was cut up and removed within hours and the only damage as far as I know was to a sewer line and some windows that broke from the shockwave. It doesn’t look like what a lot of people were imagining and they don’t understand how unstable the situation was to begin so they think it was a total failure but actually it wasn’t a bad outcome.

@@Chemical14 wondering the people who own the Crane's don't they lose out on Money? Who's going to pay for destroying those Crane's?
@Chemical145 жыл бұрын
I assume that the construction company that caused the initial collapse and the owners of Hard Rock that hired them are going to have to eat the cost of the cranes, the building, the demolition and probably pay some hefty fines to the city on top of that. Oh, and lawsuits from the families of the victims.

Chemical 14 As I’m no demolition expert I’ll bow to your superior knowledge, however, it still looks like a monumental fuckup to me.🤭😉
@Chemical145 жыл бұрын
I’m not an expert either but I was on scene talking to the demolition team. I was betting that the theater next door was completely screwed. They told me what was supposed to happen and it turned out to be pretty close to what actually happened. Not perfect but I’m just glad they managed not to destroy several historic buildings that were in the shadow of the cranes.
