This is why I have the stance that Pearl Jam isn't truly Grunge. Almost all of their songs are heavily based in Jazz and Blues Scales, rather than the rampant amount of chromaticism that Grunge is made up of

Am I the only one hearing that incredible scream at 4:33 ? It's so visceral that it sounds like thunder striking I'm not certain if it's a scream or a guitar lick, but it's buried really deep under these layers of guitar

It's cool he loses the timing a bit here and there and it is still awesome. Bands today are just focus on perfection in tone and execution but can't write songs to save their soul. Just a bunch of hyper compressed sterile crap.

Those bands often have the benefit of production value that didn't exist in the 90's.

Freezin' Rests his head on a pillow made of concrete again Oh, feelin' Maybe he'll see a little betters, any days Oh, hand out Faces that he sees time again ain't that familiar Oh, dark grin He can't help, when he's happy, he looks insane Even flow, thoughts arrive like butterflies Oh, he don't know, so he chases them away Oh, someday yet he'll begin his life again Life again, life again Kneelin' Lookin' through the paper though he doesn't know to read Oh, prayin' Now to something that has never showed him anything Oh, feelin' Understands the weather of the winter's on its way Oh, ceilings Few and far between all the legal halls of shame Even flow, thoughts arrive like butterflies Oh, he don't know, so he chases them away Oh, someday yet he'll begin his life again Whispering hands gently lead him away Him away, him away Yeah, ooh, ah yeah, fuck it up Even flow, thoughts arrive like butterflies Oh, he don't know, so he chases them away Ah, someday yet he'll begin his life again Whispering hands gently lead him away Him away, him away Yeah, ooh

What the fuck is this world running to? You didn't leave a message At least I could have learned your voice one last time Daily minefield, this could be my time by you Would you hit me? Would you hit me? Oh, oh-oh Oh, oh-oh, aw All the bills go by and initiatives are taken up By the middle there ain't gonna be any middle anymore And the cross I'm bearing home ain't indicative of my place Left the porch, left the porch Oh, oh-oh Oh, oh-oh Hear my name, take a good look This could be the day Hold my hand, walk beside me I just need to say Oh, oh-oh Hear my name, take a good look This could be the day Hold my hand, lie beside me I just need to say I could not take, oh, just one day I know when I would not ever Touch you, hold you, feel you in my arms Never again Yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah

Most of Jerry's solos are like how Johnny Cash sings. Cash's voice gets deeper as a verse goes on. Most singers go up and build the sing into a crescendo. Listen to Them Bones. Jerry's solo ends on a low note. Very unique.

I love these guitar only tracks... its so easy to pick up on the music theory and the techniques used.

Just curious, anyone out there going to this same thing with the music video version?
@featheryfemme2 жыл бұрын
Not possible unless the stem tracks are released for the version they did with Abbruzzese. This wasn't isolated with any sort of state-of-the-art isolation software, this is just the guitar track without any of the other tracks that make up the song.
