Good job man! I have the exact car except mine I painted purple and silver like yours and then I decided to give it to my father so that's the colors he wanted turns out he didn't want it I wouldn't have chosen those colors

Just built up a Lotus 79 JPS on a F103 chassis. Bought the body from an Ebay vendor in Japan, repainted it, and got a set of decals from a manufacturer in Canada. Body needed some mods to fit properly. It looks great, but I have yet to take it out for a drive. I also painted my wheels silver and gold. Question: What are the rear tires/wheels you have on yours? They look way closer to proper size for that era...mine are too small.

I ran into Keitographer's YT! I was looking for DF03RA videos and ended up here... Glad to see you here, dude! Yup, I built this one as well and even went as far as doing the black lines for the red stickers... painted! that took me three days and it was by no means perfect... I was so done after doing it I put it in a bag and haven´t ever ran it! haha. Interesing bit from Team C´s approach, they changed the "black lines" that were on the original and replaced them for Marlboro stickers... but the actual car in the RAC rally in 1990 didn´t have the Marlboro stickers!! fun bit of trivia... Also, recent Tamiya´s re-re of this body did without a lot of smaller stickers (due to licensing, most probably) and most notably, the RAC logo on the number and event decals... a shame really, as the current one feels a bit half-baked as it is.

yeah i agree 😁 i bought the Tamiya version when it came out and built it as a street version instead because the stickers were a bit too bare for my liking

My problem with the BF was the drive axle on the right hand side popping out - solved with a spacer between the axle and the body of the gear box. Building MB next

I purchased the DF-03RA Lancia Delta Integrale in 2009 - and it is still going strong.. They are very tough and well built. If I was to be critical the main issue with them is torque steering with anything more powerful than a Sport Tuned 23t Brushed motor [Brushless equivalent is a Hobbywing13t Sensorless]. Minor issues are the steering sometimes binds under load, so a good quality servo makes a huge difference if you want the car to track in a straight line - and the battery compartment is a very tight squeeze which causes the wires on stick packs [lipo or nimh] to wear prematurely. But as I said earlier these cars are tough and duralble.
