11:38 This bouncing ball game is actually a 2D game. I know it looks 3D, but it's actually a 2D map. I took a look at the bouncing ball demo to which you were referring and it too is a 2D map. The ball in that demo is similar to the special stage in Sonic 3 on Sega Genesis. The one thing this ball game has over that demo is that it is mapping / warping / scaling the patterns to make them look like the are moving in 3D space, being narrow as the first appear in view then widen as they approach the player's ball which is always situated at the glass of your screen.

The graphics remind of the first Dangerous Dave, though this is a top-down game and DD is a side-scrolling platformer. Have you played the series?

So for Ms PAC the 5200 version is extremely slow… until about the… around the 5th screen it sudden kicked into high gear and starts flying. Was never quite sure why they did that lol. This hack looks more like 5th or 6th level speed right from the beginning.
@datacipher9 сағат бұрын
8 bit donkey Kong was always fast but the character were totally redrawn, pilots changed, extra level added on the first screen… some great tricks used… using a missile for donkey kings eyeballs etc. made the best version of dk from that era even better. I had a coleco and 5200 and was an arcade dk tourney winner but the only home version I liked was the 8 bit - nice and fast and smooth. Coudl run through level after level faster than the arcade.

Got to say it’s basically a clone of Gauntlet, released a couple of years earlier. Surprised that the creators of Gauntlet didn’t sue.

I'm surprised this worked. At 9:23 you entered the MoSetup Registry Key and then accidentally clicked wherever you had forgotten the mouse pointer, which is the hardware config and changed something completely different.

Cracking job with Bubble Bobble - I'd say had there been an official version released at the time that it wouldn't have looked or sounded half as good! Nit-picking but if the RAM is there then it pre-loading the next level would probably make it as good as perfect, just removing those momentary pauses.

2:21 jzIntv is the best emulator for Intellivision, and is necessary to play the more sophisticated homebrews. Most people won't use it though because it's command-line. I created a front-end for that reason. 12:50 That would be a reference to George Plimpton, who compared Intellivision and Atari Baseball in early Intellivision commercials. 17:15 Yes, there are flash cards for the Intellivision. I have an LTO Flash, which is great, but is hard to find lately. The BackBit and RTO cards are great too.
