Sir, While I’m looking at the process, I can’t figured out why are the moving parts going backwards at the time of firing? Which force or mechanism does this?

That was just a wealth of information. Thank you so much. You have just solved my issue. Cant tell you enough on how helpful that was. Keep up the good work.

I imagine a lack of proper cleaning in the barrel can cause this?

You can't practice gun drills, like double taps (2 shots rapidly) designed to get in a good shooting rhythm to practice defending your life at Range USA, so I go to another indoor Range only a mile away. That Range allows double taps. Bye, Bye, Range USA.

My 1911 stovepipes every few rounds. Mutiple magazines, multiple ammo sources. I get so @$&! sick of people saying I must be limp wristing. (They usually say it in a half snotty tone at that.) I have been shooting a majority of my life and the only stove pipe issue is that one stupid Kimber.

After buying and spending thousands of dollars at range USA and being charged a restocking fee on a firearm that NEVER was purchased or shipped their is no way I will ever for any reason at any time have any thing to do with this sorry company. Whole process took less than ten minutes and there was no attempt by this company to understand what the problem was and try to rectify the problem. Too bad I have spent so much in past and I cant undo. All I can do is try to warn others. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Goodbye

A squib is a jam not malfunction. Jams result in the gun needing to be broken down and use of tools, malfunctions can be cleared reflexively. Malfunctions are like Type 1/2/3s (failure to fire, stovepipe, failure to eject)

This is most commonly caused by no powder in the case, keep the powder hoppers full and use a powder cop die when reloading and it shouldn’t happen

What happens when you pull the triggger with no round in the chamber? Will that automatically load a round in the chamber?
@fortuneherico26923 ай бұрын
Yes.
@zachkennedy56772 ай бұрын
The firing pin hits nothing. You hear a click. And since the slide action in a semi auto fire is forced by the pressure from spent cartridge the slide will not move therefore, no it will not load round in the chamber. The slide must be manually cycled to load the first round, then after that first round is fired the action parts inside the firearm will load the next round (as seen in this video).

I visited my local Range USA store yesterday. They've increased the staff size, stocked the store with more ammo and accessories options, and made the ambiance even friendlier and more inviting. The prices have increased slightly, (I blame Biden for that) but I thoroughly enjoyed my time practicing my shooting skills. I will be back!

My kimber evo 9mm will digest any grain or brand...on the other hand my sig 938 would stovepipe...I knew it wasn't limp wrist because of my grip & definitely not magazine spring because they were feeding fine but not ejecting quick enough...the kimber has a strong double recoil spring which slows down the slide preventing stovepipes...the sig has a single recoil spring allowing the slide to close faster & stovepipe...my solution...go from 115gr to 124gr slowing the slide down to allow ejection...problem solved.

During my training they referred to one of the improper handling as limp wristing as a cause of stove pipe.

Are there any benefits to pulling back the hammer yourself on a double action, rather than letting the trigger do it?
@vegeta46932145 ай бұрын
There is a very slight advantage. When you pull the hammer back, the trigger also moves back which means it has a shorter range to move and you need to apply less force to the trigger to shoot. It makes the shoot snappier.
@ivanthehunter35302 ай бұрын
Yes, accuracy. It doesn't make the gun more accurate, rather you become more accurate. In double action mode, you have a significantly longer travel on the trigger, and the pull will be heavier. You are therefore more likely to drift of target, since you have to apply MORE force for Longer in order to fire, potentially leading to inaccuracy.
