i only recently beat the game. i started playing automata years ago and i knew i enjoyed it but studies got in the way and i gradually forgot about it. im so sad i missed out on this masterpiece of a game for so long but im also glad i actually got around to it again (somehow spoiler free!) cuz its genuinely my favorite game now for so many reasons that youve explained perfectly in this video. better late than never i guess!

i was 6 when splatoon came out and now im 15 in 3 months! my dad being a fond tech man got it instantly, so splatoon has really grown up with me and has been a huge part of my childhood (although i had nightmares about the first boss in story mode from splatoon 1) this really hit me hard, thank you for bringing me this nostalgia. glad that the 'fandom' is still alive, as none of my friends can resonate with the game like i can! ❤

No. Gameplay is the only thing separating a game from any low quality, much cheaper to produce CG animated show/movie. If the gameplay is bad, the game is bad. Period.

While I agree with your point on landlords- I must also point out that ur opinion (to me...) seems biased. A landlord is conditionally, a recognized owner of housing and/or associated property that is appointed recognition in a transactional way- a very simple description of what/who they are. I believe (and from what I can understand) your problem with landlords is the nature of their business and operations, while labeling the common man looking for a home; the perspective of the right to live comfortably. If this is the case, then I don’t exactly see why you’re complaining because it tells me (in this case) that you both recognize the business and accept it but also you don’t..? The only thing I believe you have a point on; is the fact that there are people out there in the world who won’t be able to pay for rentals or pay of mortgage on owned properties, which naturally allows the next generation of this class of people to fall into these habits- the continuous idea then of being simply lucky, intelligent, and able enough to experience and functionally describe more brighter ideas without dreaming being semi-involved or involved at all, meaning that dreaming isn’t the purpose as it is supplied to be a free thing you can do in you own time automatically selecting a perspective only you can relate to, applying this idea to nearly everything in you life could explain how society works to you- unlocking mindsets you never knew you had. That’s the game of society and why nearly everything you see in some way; provides you with two paths- good and misfortune. Society is so stratified that it depends on a future where humans are manipulated to be the same way. Addiction follows the recognition to this cycle but it is bluntly described to the masses as a point of reason- nagging off concepts not understood like mental illness; mental illness is ultimately up to how individually we can perceive the same problems that people have with it, continuing down the path of trials and experimentation just to be reminded that there is no clear idea that unites how all people look at it - even the ones suffering from mental illness. So addiction in this case is so perfect in how it builds an extra layer that conforms well to how it’s portrayed in society. In essence your comment recognizes the people, but not the true problem. I also don’t exactly agree with the fact that apparently all landlords are bad; because once again all your telling us is that you think one way about people and describe them in conclusion- a landlord isn’t bad, the person themselves have to be bad to be bad which brings us back to your point on their business, see the cycle? The cycle make you seem single minded on things. (no offense) The true problem my friend- is the way society is set up and controlled. Comment back btw and I lov ur vids Stay fresh! X3

i watched this video before, a little bit after it came out i'd say. and i thought it was just cool back then, i didnt have a lot of thoughts but i returned to this video a while ago, after i rediscovered my love for splatoon. and dude, it seriously struck a chord with me. it admittedly made me sob and think for hours after remembering what splatoon really means as a franchise. and since watching it i don't think i've ever loved a series more. especially after the grand festival, it made me realize *this series is almost 10 years old*! i was there at the start when i was frickin 9 years old. it made me realize how truly special it is to grow alongside a game. seriously, thank you! (the giant paragraph near the end inspired my 10th grade graduation speech!! it was at a high school that was shutting down that year)

I thought I was going to have to make this video, but it turns out, it already exists. I have nothing else to add, you spoke nearly every word I felt deep down in my soul. It isn't only you, I've felt this way for a long time. I would go as far as to say this game has been one of the most profound experiences in my life. Some people play The Outer Wilds and feel like that was the most profound moment in gaming they've ever had. Not me. It was this game. Drakengard 3 is what I like to call a "Broken Masterpiece", for a bunch of random metaphorical reasons I could go on about, but to make a long story short, perfection doesn't exist, unless you accept the idea that perfection is not the absence of flaws, but the acceptance of them. Drakengard 3 not only does this, it outright rejects the notion that it should comply to the standard of Nier Automata or other Triple A experiences. "Bad on Purpose" "Good by Accident", both very apt explanations, but like two sides of a coin, it's what is between that which is truth: Dialectical Synergy as a result of the human condition. True Equilibrium. (Yes, I'm dead serious.)

Drakengard is where Yoko Taro is allowed to do whatever he wants because ultimately the IP isn't big enough to ruin his career. Nier is where he has to lock in. I do like the poetic opposites of Nier and Automata being the most well written, well playing, amazing games every with a deep, in universe story where as Drakengard is a shitshow designed to make a real world point through a batshit insane story that completely breaks all tropes and clichés. And I love it.

I think Drakengard 3 lampshaded the parts they figured would be accidentally bad due to low budget (reusing minibosses dozens and dozens of times), while throwing in a few intentional trolls (having to kill 50 of those fucking baby enemies, the last note of The Final song) because Yoko Taro can't help himself and it's funny. The platforming sections not actually being that bad at all while Zero complains about it every time tells me they were kind of just guessing and weren't designing the game to be bad on purpose, since it would have been very easy to make all those sections repetitive and awful, with more difficult and frustrating patterns. People are really quick to excuse bad parts of fantastic games as "bad on purpose" and I think it's usually not justified. If there are parts that are actually bad on purpose they're typically small, obvious, and not something structural to the game. You can't realistically excuse the boring walking in Pathologic, or poor combat in games like Drakengard 1 and Silent Hill 2, even if you can point to positive effects of that design. Surely they would have just made it good if they had the budget/time/skill.

For me Splatoon is kinda broken. I was 7 when the switch and Splatoon 2 came out. I had back then no idea about splatoon 1 and of course no nostalgia with it. So i started with Splatoon 2 and its the only one I have played of the three. I didnt understand English back then and I had switch online just for short time so I missed a lot of the game. So the hero mode (withouth understanding English) was kinda the only thing I had. I wanted the Octoexpansion so bad but never got it. Now I feel that I missed so much of what the game could had offered. Spoiling the whole story line and boss fights from youtube didnt help at all with that. And when Splatoon 3 came out I was like: "Oh cool" and just kinda forgot about it. And when I was ready to try Splatoon 2 again I realized that the game had largly died out. No players in the matches and no one was talking about it because of Splatoon 3 of course. Now I just feel bad. I had a perfect game and I played it horribly without even realizing it back then. And even now Splatoon 3 is starting to be a bit old so Im not sure if I should buy it. One of the reason I dont have Splatoon 3 is because agent 4 isnt in it, because I grew really attached to hero mode since it was the only way could play the game. Im now 15 and Splatoon does make me feel old but in a very sad way. But I still have hope for Splatoon 4 and a new start with a bit of Nostalgia from Splatoon 2.

I'm so sad that I've never experienced these games when the first one came out. I remember really wanting to try this game but my family has always been poor and so we were never able to get a Wii U. I never got to have a Switch until last year. I feel so left out because I have always been wanting to get into this game. To this day I still don't have Splatoon 3 I have nostalgia with the music though, I remember jamming to calamari inkantation remixes and even made a playlist of them at one point lol, I also drew Callie before

I still have yet to sacrifice my game. But granted I wanted to wait till I got 100%. I knew not too long into the game that I had to 100% it. So when I found out deleting your save was involved it was on my mind throughout the playthrough. A little bit of you wondering like is it worth it. What's the point if everything ends. Even ending E still raises this question. And for the people like me who choose not to delete the save means that even though the world is gone. Everyone you met is gone. You still want to learn more, finish the quests you didn't, help everyone. And once all is done the only last thing to do is to save someone else and the expense of your save. Which then I think makes it the most meaningful in that you did everything you could only to finally give it all up so that someone else could experience the same thing you did.
