Get your head around what’s actually happening and look at the details of the scenario - the patient is 15 years old, we’re at a rural hospital, it’s very busy etc. and think about the impact they have on your decision-making Also thinking about what you would do in the situation (this is a common question and also helps with grasping the scenario)

Hi Darren, I just have on question regarding the format of the interview. So once your reading time has finished for a question, do the interviewers just read out all 5 questions at once and let you respond, or is it a case where the interviewer asks one question and you answer it, then the interviewer proceeds to ask the next sub-question and you answer all the way till the last question. If that makes sense.
@DarrenTan2125 күн бұрын
The second scenario is right - you answer before they ask the next one

hey, i'm about to have my written exam in 3 weeks time for csl. do you have examples of good essays i could use to memorize? also would you recommend doing the written exam in a specific order instead of doing it chronologically? and last question: for the listening and responding in chinese section, how did you jot down notes, in pinyin or chinese?
@DarrenTan21Ай бұрын
It’s been a while since I’ve sat Chinese… but I mainly memorised evaluative or persuasive pieces: - mobile phone use - participating in extracurriculars - volunteering For personal ones : - introduce my friend - trip to China I did the exam chronologically (didn’t give it much thought) and we had translation then as well. I did both - pinyin was especially useful for writing something quickly but there’s a chance you forget what the word was meant to be.

Hi darren, thanks for the awesome video! I was just curious about the part when you mentioned 'solid learning' for maths when prelearning the content during the holidays. Does this also include doing practice tests on top of the textbook questions as you are studying ahead or do you think just doing the textbook is fine for that stage?
@DarrenTan212 ай бұрын
‘Solid learning’ in the holidays for me means that you’d be fairly comfortable being assessed on that topic. I reckon textbook questions is enough because you can complete more prep with practice tests later.

Thanks Krishanth! Is that your detailed study topic? Have an idea of your structure for your answers (first you talk about this idea, and then this idea) but practice in all different scenarios is the best!
@KrishanthPradeepPandian3 ай бұрын
@@DarrenTan21 Yes, it is my topic. I would like to know how to answer spontaneous, and new questions. My teacher said that other than some common questions, most of them will be new.
@DarrenTan213 ай бұрын
@@KrishanthPradeepPandian I didn’t find too many of the questions in my detailed study were new - definitely brainstorm what they may ask and go to practices as well. Otherwise if they ask a new question take your time and sift through your knowledge of the topic. Don’t panic or be pressured into saying whatever!
